Influencers-Only Mural Launches LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE, A New Original Series from Verizon's go90 and Tumblr Starring Dillon Francis

The controversial mural reserved for verified influencers was revealed as a true-to-life hoax to launch Like and Subscribe, a new original series from Verizon's go90 and Tumblr starring platinum-selling artist, DJ, and producer Dillon Francis. Watch a trailer for the series HERE. All seven episodes of Like and Subscribe will be available on July 9 exclusively via Verizon's go90 and Tumblr.

From the creators of What Would Diplo Do?, Like and Subscribe follows a powerful Hollywood manager named Skyy Goldwynn and his most toxic influencer clients as he turns their careers around from near failure. Envisioned as a real life preview of the show's satirical take on social media, Like and Subscribe creator Jack Wagner devised the stunt to celebrate the announcement of the series.

Unveiled on Monday, June 25th at 7753 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, the mural was hidden from the public in a tent guarded by security near a sign reading "Private mural: for verified influencers and people with over 20,000 followers only. We apologize for the inconvenience. See security staff for proof and access."

"The mural was completely absurd and I think the absurdity is an accurate preview of what our show is going to be like," shared Wagner. "The mural and its reactions were like an episode of the show played out in real life."

The divisive mural quickly sparked outrage on social media and garnered international media coverage. PAPER Magazine commented "It seems that Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood hikes, green juices and unchecked narcissism, seems like it may have out-LA'd itself," while Adweek claimed "Influencer-only mural promo in L.A. just makes everyone mad."Vice added "You cannot deny that by eliciting these emotional reactions and opening up a conversation about a festering social blight, the Like and Subscribe crew has created a work of art. You can hate it all you want, but it's still art."

Like and Subscribe is directed by The Dads and produced by TMWRK Studio.

Platinum-selling artist, DJ, producer, and all-around nice guy Dillon Francis will continue to surprise fans worldwide in 2018. He initially landed in the history books during 2012 as "the first moombahton artist to achieve the number-one spot on Beatport" on the Something, Something Awesome EP. His 2014 major label debut, Money Sucks, Friends Rule [Mad Decent/Columbia Records], graced Rolling Stone's "Top Electronic Albums of 2014" list as 2015's This Mixtape Is Fire EP bowed at #1 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.
