According to WCF Courier, the cast of Field of Dreams recently reunited, 25 years after the film hit theaters, to discuss what fatherhood, baseball, and movies mean in America.

Kevin Costner stated, "My heart's fuller than you could ever imagine. I don't think there's any bigger miracle for me that occurred than this little movie that was made 25 years ago here in this field."

Costner continued, "The movie is about things that go unsaid between fathers and sons but, I think what's missing, and what's made this movie universal, are women. Women in our life are the healers. They're the people that want the fighting to stop."

Field of Dreams was released in 1989 and was based off of a book by W.P. Kinsella called Shoeless Joe. The IMDB description of the film is as follows: "An Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the Chicago Black Sox come."

The cast included Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, Ray Liotta, and Burt Lancaster.

Many consider Field of Dreams the epitome of a Father's Day movie.
