A new mini-documentary discussing the presence and influence of voodoo culture in New Orleans and outlining how it pertains to the new season of FX's hit horror anthology series American Horror Story is now available to view.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN centers on a modern-day witch academy in New Orleans, featuring returning series star Jessica Lange and new addition Kathy Bates alongside Season Three featured players Angela Bassett (as a voodoo priestess), Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Patti LuPone, Evans Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts.

The official description of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN is as follows: ""Coven" tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are Being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN premieres on October 9 at 10 PM.
