Josh Kelley has been pursuing his own creative path since his childhood. Growing up in Augusta, GA in a close-knit family that encouraged his early interests in music, painting and drawing, he absorbed the influence of the R&B and soul that his mom loved as well as inheriting his dad's love of vintage country and his older brother's affinity for classic rock. New Lane Road, released in 2016 after a five-year recording hiatus, Kelley says "I feel like I'm reinventing myself on this album." Indeed, listeners who think they know Josh Kelley via such trademark tunes as his pop smash "Amazing" and his country hit "Georgia Clay" may be in for a surprise with New Lane Road. With Kelley handling the songwriting, production and engineering and playing most of the instruments himself, the TK-song album is a landmark for the artist in more ways than one, breaking new sonic ground while featuring the most revealing, personally-charged lyrics of his dozen-year career. New Lane Road is the product of three years' worth of writing and recording, much of it in the state-of-the-art studio that Kelley built in the hills of Utah, where he lives with his wife, actress Katherine Heigl, and their two children.

Michelle Shocked is a traveling troubadour whose musical talent is so eclectic it is difficult to categorize. Her musical career was ignited by a bootleg recording made around a Kerrville Folk Festival campfire on a Sony Walkman. In a 26-year career that has seen critical acclaim at every juncture, she famously escaped major-label indentured servitude in 1996, subverting the artist-label relationship that helped lead to the current trend toward artistic self-containment. She appears at all four City Winery locations three times this summer, featuring selections from a different album at each performance: Short Sharped Shocked, Captain Swing and Arkansas Traveler.

Hailed as one of the most exciting live acts on the road today, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers (RCPM) are musical beacons of the Southwest fueled by witty and insightful lyrics, crunching guitar riffs, a dynamic rhythm section and tequila. RCPM are the only act to release seven consecutive studio albums to land on the Top 10 of Billboard's Internet Sales Chart, two at No. 1, all released on a 100% independent record label. Dubbed the "Springsteen of the Southwest" by the Asbury Park Press, Roger Clyne and his guitar have toured around the world over his 20-year career, starting with The Refreshments. The seminal Tempe, AZ band made big waves in the '90s both on college and alternative rock radio as well as MTV with the songs "Banditos" (with the infamous chorus, "Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people") and "Down Together" as well as writing the theme for TV's "King of the Hill." He still performs the cult classic songs he penned with his current band incarnation, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers.

Singer, songwriter and producer Eric Roberson continues to break boundaries in an industry predominantly influenced by major record labels, manufactured sounds and mainstream radio.

An outstanding storyteller, Roberson's music is relatable, allowing him to form personal connections with each of his listeners. His music is influenced by elements of music styles varying from soul, rhythm & blues, house, hip-hop, jazz, rock and more. His music is personal, poetic, positive and progressive.

After experiencing the ups and downs of being signed to a major label, and with the help of two supportive and loving parents, Roberson began performing and selling his own music. In 2001, he established his record label B.L.U.E. Erro Soul where he released his first independent project The Esoteric Movement. He has gone on to release seven other independent projects on his label. What once began as a hobby has now become an affluent business which has gone on to sell more than 80,000 CDs independently, thousands of digital downloads and allowed Roberson to tour both nationally and internationally.

British rocker Graham Parker - mixing Otis Redding soul with punk energy - reunites with Brinsley Schwarz, a member of New Wave-era band The Rumour. A new Graham Parker and The Rumour album, Mystery Glue, has now been recorded at the famous RAK studios. Mystery Glue was released worldwide by Universal Records in May 2015 on the obscure '70's Universal owned label, Cadet Concept, a former imprint of the famous Chess Records.

Jesse Colin Young, critically acclaimed solo artist and lead singer of the legendary classic rock band, The Youngbloods, took the nation by storm when The Youngblood's single "Get Together" became a worldwide Top 10 hit and a prominent soundtrack for peace. After seven group releases, Young began the production of more than 15 acclaimed solo albums including Song for Juli, Light Shine, Songbird and a live album with his great touring band titled On the Road. His most recent release, The Very Best of Jesse Colin Young, is the most comprehensive collection of his music to date and includes songs from his solo career as well as hits from The Youngbloods.

City Winery also announces Adrian + Meredith opens for The Black Lillies Apr. 25.

Opened in 2012, City Winery Chicago is a fully operational winery, restaurant with outdoor patio, concert hall and private event space located in the heart of the West Loop at 1200 W.
