The Military Affairs office of Regent University in conjunction with their Military Family Appreciation event will host Craig Hughes, author of the recently released children's picture book, Jump Ship Jonah, on Friday, April 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The event will take place on the school's campus in the Library Atrium. Admission is free and all families from any branch of the U.S. military are invited to attend.
Launched on April 8, this is the first in a series of picture books by Craig which focus on various characters/events in the Bible. After a public reading of the book, Craig will be signing copies that will be available for purchase at the venue.
A native Texan, Craig is a graduate of Howard Payne University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has worked in music & worship ministries for over forty years in Texas, Georgia and Virginia. Much of that time involved ministering to children. From his years of ministry in local churches, Craig has developed a unique way of retelling the Bible's ancient stories that appeal to kids today. He now enjoys time with his two granddaughters who serve as inspiration for much of his writings.
