Class Act Books Released Third Entry in New Family Saga
by BWW News Desk - April 18, 2016
'You're a menace, Padraig, an' I see no hope o' you changin'. Is there?' Quinton McCoy paused, giving his son a gimlet stare out of eyes as green as the serpentine in Connemara marble. 'Is there?' Padraig pretended to think, then shook his head. 'No, Da, I don't believe there is. I'm enjoyin' it too much.' 'Ah!' Quinton threw up his hands, then recovered. He stalked back around his desk but didn't sit. 'I'm afraid you leave me no choice.' Briefly his anger fell away. His gaze wavered, then he appeared to force himself to speak. 'Padraig, lad...I'm turnin' you out.' 'You...you're disownin' me?' Padraig's voice trembled. 'Ah, I'd ne'er do that.' Quinton said. 'What I'm sayin' is...I want you t' leave this house, indeed this country, an' ne'er come back.' Thus begins the story of Padraig Aloysius McCoy, third son and bad seed of Tipperary's branch of the McCoy clan. Unlike Books 1 and 2, set in Regency England and Ireland, The Man from Tipperary ranges from the gracious homes of landed gentry in Tipperary to an isolated cattle ranch in the American West in the years prior to and including the War Between the States. Settling in Nebraska, the misplaced young Irishman learns the hardship and heartache of being a cowboy in the mid-19th century, as well as the adventure of living in a time of social transition. He sees the Nebraska Territory gain statehood and discovers Love when it steps off a Wells Fargo stage. Full of history, humor, and romance, Padraig's story embodies the traits of many who went West and fought for their destinies instead of waiting for Life to hand it to them. The Man from Tipperary is author Toni V. Sweeney's fifty-third novel published by Class Act Books. Since the publication of her first novel in 1989, Ms. Sweeney divides her time between writing SF/Fantasy under her own name and romances under her pseudonym Icy Snow Blackstone. She has reviewed books for Two Lips Reviews and recently join the review staff of the New York Journal of Books and also the Paranormal Romance Guild. She is an amazon reviewer with over 570 reviews listed on the American amazon website, a professional reader for Netgalley, and is in the 1% of reviewers for Goodreads. Her Western novel NEBRASKA: Walk the Shadow Trail was award 1st Place in Historical Romance for 2015 by the Paranormal Romance Guild's Reviewers Choice, and also was voted #2 in General Genre by the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll for 2015. She has two new scifi/space opera series upcoming for 2016-2017. In 2013, Class Act Books came under new ownership. Motivational Press to Publish 'A Cheerleaders Guide to Owning Your Truth, Achieving Your Dreams and Landing a Fulfilling Life as a Modern Parent'
by BWW News Desk - April 18, 2016
Motivational Press today announced an agreement to publish 'Loud and Proud: A cheerleaders guide to owning your truth, achieving your dreams and landing a fulfilling life as a modern parent' written by Ally Loprete, which offers readers the ability to tap into their highest human potential with strategies to awaken their inner spirit and enthusiasm for life, be in celebration of themselves regardless of defeat, and discover their ability to reach personal achievement. ??Cheerleading is more than just rooting for the home team against the big bad rivals. It's a powerful metaphor for the kind of positive energy that creates miraculous and unexpected wins, lifts up one's spirits during times of struggle and doubt and the unwavering encouragement that keeps us ready to play and in the game no matter what the circumstance. ??Ally Loprete's Loud and Proud shares deeply personal experiences and insight that are meaningful, relatable and easily applicable for anyone (especially parents) to create positive change, live life without apology, and create an authentic environment for themselves and their families. For release in Fall 2016. Loud and Proud shares with readers an uplifting tale of one woman's path to inner spirit and exhilaration. As a young girl, Ally Loprete had dreams of fitting in, having a powerful voice and making a positive difference in the world. She believed in the unprecedented capacity for human potential and the unappreciated genius of those who lacked a megaphone or a spotlight. In high school, her conquest to be 'popular' landed her a cheerleader's uniform, the vexing societal pressure to perform and behave in a certain way, and the ability to create authentic inspiration for the underdog. Twenty years later, she is still lifting others up, uniting the crowd in harmonious optimism, and destroying barriers that threaten the pursuit of excellence. ??Loud and Proud is an honorable and brutally visible chronicle of a former cheerleader and current mom's perspective written in a language that will especially resonate with today's modern parent unleashing the true grit of what it takes to reach ones highest potential and as well as the top of the pyramid. ??Whether stuck in a circumstance, blocked from introspection or seeking deeper purpose, the author's truth is a call for inspired action and reverence of personal triumph. ??It's a permission slip to courageously celebrate all of life's journeys, rebel against societal expectations, and discover the unabashed self truth that will lead to powerful personal transformations and spiritual enlightenment. ? Motivational Press is excited to work with Ally Loprete. With lively encouragement, Ally examines how to: • Awaken your very own personal cheerleader, capitalize on your inner resilience and enthusiasm, and lift your own spirits during times of struggle or uncertainty. • Tap into your highest potential and achieve mind-blowing abundance, personal transformations and spiritual enlightenment. • Move past limiting beliefs and break down unnecessary barriers to reveal your unrealized human potential. • Discover the most effective way to problem solve, make tough decisions without hesitation, and rid yourself of doubt once and for all. • Create a positive and enthusiastic environment for yourself and your children to flourish, regardless of any circumstance. French Edition of SELFLESS SELF is Now Available
by BWW News Desk - April 18, 2016
The French edition of 'Selfless Self: Talks with Shri Ramakant Maharaj' has just been published. 'Le Soi Sans Rien: Entretiens avec Shri Ramakant Maharaj' follows 'Je Suis'. Alan Jacobs, President of Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK, was the first person to announce: 'Ramakant Maharaj is Nisargadatta Maharaj's successor, and 'Selfless Self', the natural successor to 'I Am That'. This important book from Self-Realized Master, Shri Ramakant, direct disciple of Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj, was first published, in English, in 2015. Watkins Books, London, describes it as a 'companion to I Am That', while others claim that its simple clarity actually unravels 'I Am That'. Ann Shaw, editor of 'Selfless Self', explained: 'When Nisargadatta Maharaj left his body in 1981, he left behind him a massive hole which seemed impossible to fill. But now, no longer! Ramakant Maharaj, is an authentic, Realized Master who conveys the highest spontaneous and direct knowledge with utter simplicity. This is unprecedented'. The Master's teachings are unadulterated, powerful and transformative, as many seekers continue to find out first-hand, either from reading the book and/or visiting him in person. Many who have given feedback say that this book has finally brought them to completion. It has taken them Home. Others have expressed their conviction that they will never need to read another book again. 'Selfless Self' has become my bible', said one reader, and you only need one bible. This is what I have been waiting for. This is IT!'. Jean-Claude Dhainaut, the translator of 'Le Soi Sans Rien', offers an excellent example of the impact the book had on him. He can only use one word to describe his experience, and that word is 'miraculous'. He explains: 'Last year, almost as soon as I had started reading 'Selfless Self', I immediately felt compelled to write down some lines. The power and clarity coming through the Master's words was so immense that I began translating into French, what I thought were the most revolutionary passages. I wrote down everything by hand. 'I had never translated a book before, and certainly not one that was 500 pages in length! It was as if 'Selfless Self' was propelling me forward. The book was completed within eight months. Shri Ramakant describes 'Selfless Self' as a miracle. Well, 'Le Soi Sans Rien' is also truly nothing but a miracle'. 'A Self-Realized Master is essential', says the Master. 'So many people teaching today with only book knowledge, (what he terms 'dry' or 'literal' knowledge), some body experiences, but no knowledge in a 'Real' sense, no Self-Knowledge! How can they guide? This is like the blind leading the blind'. He often says, 'Everyone should be enlightened because when you see through the illusory world, your suffering will come to an end'. His sincere wish is for these teachings to spread across the globe. The publication of 'Le Soi Sans Rien', as well as other translations in progress, are bringing the Master's wish closer to fruition. 'Le Soi Sans Rien: Entretiens avec Shri Ramakant Maharaj' is available both from Amazon and large bookshops.
