The Bridges of Madison County Opens Aurora Players’ Season in Newly Renovated Auditorium
Aurora Players opens its 2025–26 season with the Tony Award–winning musical The Bridges of Madison County, October 10–26 at the Historic Roycroft Theater in East Aurora. Based on Robert James Waller’s bestselling novel, the show tells the unforgettable story of Francesca Johnson, an Iowa farm wife, and Robert Kincaid, a National Geographic photographer, whose brief encounter changes their lives forever.
Directed by Nathan Andrew Miller, the production stars Rebecca Runge as Francesca and Merrick Allen as Robert, with musical direction by Benjamin Davis. The show is the first in Aurora Players’ newly renovated auditorium, now featuring spacious, comfortable seating thanks to The Scott Bieler Family Foundation.
Performances run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m., October 10–26. Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 for seniors (62+), available at www.auroraplayers.org
