Tickets to NEWSIES National Tour at Shea's on Sale Today

Disney Theatrical Productions, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and Albert Nocciolino announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Buffalo engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public today, June 20th at 10:00 AM. Tickets start at $35.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at Shea's Buffalo Theatre on September 29th for a limited engagement of one week through October 4th as a part of the M&T Bank 2015-16 Broadway Series.

Robert Brunschmid Named New Director of Operations at Shea's

Robert Brunschmid, former Managing Director of Theatre of Youth (TOY) since April 2004, will join the team at Shea's Performing Arts Center effective July 13, 2015 as the Director of Operations. In this position, he will oversee the Facilities Department, the Concessions Department and the Volunteer Program at Shea's Performing Arts Center which now comprises three theatres: Shea's Buffalo Theatre, the 710 Main Theatre and Shea's Smith Theatre.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) is pleased to announce that it will join other professional theater organizations from across the country participating in the seventh annual presentation of "The Jimmy Awards", to be held in New York City on June 29th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. "The Jimmy Award" is named in honor of James M. Nederlander, legendary Broadway theater owner and producer.

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON which played a record breaking one-week run in 2013, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, starting June 2 at Shea's Buffalo Theatre and plays a limited one week engagement (eight performances) through June 7. In Buffalo, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the Shea's Box Office, 650 Main St., making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece.

Two suddenly single pals - a sloppy sportswriter and a fastidious news writer - strain their friendship by turning roommates and unconsciously repeating the same mistakes they made in the marriages they just left. This classic comedy opens as a group of men assemble for a card game in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just separated from his wife. Depressed and tense, Felix seems almost suicidal. As the action unfolds, the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together, with hilarious results.
