We are thrilled to invite you to enjoy our elegant Celebratory Tea Luncheon followed by a brilliant performance by the Lighthouse Chamber Players on Sunday afternoon, March 1st. Please come experience our Tea Luncheon at 2 pm followed by a beautiful concert at 3 pm.

The Lighthouse Chamber Players featuring Elizabeth Chang, violin; Nardo Poy, viola; Alberto Parrini, cello; and Alissa Leiser, piano will delight audiences with this outstanding program of music!

About the Performers....

Elizabeth Chang, violinist, enjoys an international career as performer, teacher, and leader in the arts. A member of the Juilliard Pre-College faculty since 2004, Chang is also professor of violin at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Artistic Director of Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She is dedicated to fostering musician-citizens and has embraced leadership roles in the arts, serving as founder and artistic director of the Lighthouse Chamber Players, the Five College New Music Festival, and the UMass Bach Festival and Symposium. Her performing career includes regular appearances as soloist and chamber musician in this country and abroad. Her solo and chamber recordings have been released on Albany and Bridge Records and her 2024 CD with pianist Steven Beck, "Sonatas and Myths," was named a Recording of the Year by Audiophile.

Nardo Poy, violist has been a member of the world-renowned Orpheus Chamber Orchestra since 1978 and also performs with a number of ensembles, among them the Lighthouse Chamber Players, the Perspectives Ensemble, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Recently, he has been appointed principal violist of the American Symphony Orchestra, a position he has also held with the Santa Fe Opera and the Opera Company of Philadelphia as well as with numerous other orchestras. He has also been a member of the Broyhill Chamber Ensemble and was Artist-In-Residence at SUNY at Potsdam with the Carnegie String Quartet. For many years he was a member and frequent soloist with the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia (now the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia) and has also appeared as soloist with the North Carolina Symphony, the Kansas City Camerata and also with Orpheus throughout the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Born in Italy, Alberto Parrini is principal cellist of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and a member of the American Symphony and Orchestra of St. Luke’s. He also performs regularly with the New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and New Jersey Symphony and has been guest principal cellist with the American Symphony, Cecilia Chorus, New York Symphonic Ensemble, Performance Santa Fe, Stamford Symphony and Teatro Grattacielo. Alberto performed throughout the U.S. with the American Chamber Players from 2004 to 2010, was the cellist of the St. Lawrence String Quartet in 2002-03 and spent one season as assistant principal cellist with the Richmond Symphony. Alberto has toured North America, Europe and Asia with Mikhail Baryshnikov and the White Oak Dance Project. Alberto teaches cello at Princeton University and at The College of New Jersey.

Pianist Alissa Leiser is recognized as both a soloist and collaborative artist of technical skill and interpretive command. She has performed at Alice Tully Hall, the Ravinia Festival, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The National Gallery of Art, Bargemusic, and the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago. Her orchestral appearances have included the New Jersey Symphony, the New Orchestra of Boston and Orchestra New England. Her CD entitled Sounds of America with flutist Adrianne Greenbaum was featured on National Public Radio as part of the Presidential Inauguration celebration in 1992.
