Travesty at '62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Williams College

Dates: 8/29/2026

📍 Theatre:
'62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Williams College

Travesty is a new theatre show by RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 winner Sasha Velour that traces the secret queer history of a single spot throughout time, including a witch burning in a field, a clown building a theater, and an underground gay bar rising up against the police. Velour embodies different characters through a series of lip-syncs, weaving together performance art, history, and camp. The show is presented by The Adams Theater as the New England Tour debut, made possible by a New England Foundation for the Arts Crossroads grant. A curated talkback hosted by Berkshire drag producer Bella Santarella will follow on August 30 at The Adams Theater.
