Shamel Pitts | TRIBE presents Touch of RED in their Pillow debut, a duet developed in part during a Pillow Lab residency. The work is inspired by the rapid-fire footwork of boxing, the African American jazz dance style Lindy Hop, Gaga movement language, and nightlife culture. Touch of RED examines the way Black men are perceived and perceive themselves in contemporary society.
