The annual Festival of Contemporary Music is directed by Esa-Pekka Salonen and features five concerts performed by TMC Fellows with a focus on works by Salonen and other Nordic composers. Programs are organized by theme: Those We Have Lost Too Soon; Meta Music: Music About Other Music; The Next Generation; Gen Z Paired with Iconic Works; and Nordic Boomers. Finnish cellist Senja Rummukainen makes her Tanglewood debut performing Salonen's Cello Concerto in the closing concert.
