The opening night program of the Festival of Contemporary Music presents works by recently-deceased composers and musical meditations on life and death. The program includes Esa-Pekka Salonen's Arabesques for Olly, composed in memory of Oliver Knussen, Steven Stucky's Four Poems of A.R. Ammons, and two works by Kaija Saariaho: Lonh and Terra Memoria.
