Denmark's Uppercut Dance Theater makes its U.S. debut with BENCHED, marking the third time a Danish company has debuted in the United States at Jacob's Pillow. Created by choreographer Stephanie Thomasen, the work features five dancers navigating a striking set of oversized mobile benches designed by Johan Kølkjær. The performance merges contemporary dance with street dance, capoeira, acrobatics, and physical theater to examine human relationships with humor, risk, and urgency.
