Oh, no... I intentionally didn't follow the "Natasha Richardson Injured" thread because I didn't want to fear the worst... but when I read this, I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. Her family will be in my prayers.

Too terrible for words.

What an amazing talent, an amazing woman, and an all around gift to the entertainment industry. She was quite a gem and will be greatly, greatly missed.

Just awful. Rest in peace, Natasha.

As much as I was expecting this news, it's still horrible. I can't even imagine what her family is going through.
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

May she rest in peace. What a horrible loss of such an incredible woman.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Rest in peace Natasha. Your abounding, amazing talent will be sorely missed.

I've been following it the whole time, hoping she would pull through, for a small part because my Pop-Pop died this same way. He was fine for an hour after a fall down some stairs in Atlantic City, but then it went the same way as Mrs. Richardson. But at least he had lived most of his life, Mrs. Richardson hadn't even begun hers. I know a little on how they are feeling, and hope they all get through it, for it's such a travesty.

"He found something that he wanted, had always wanted and always would want— not to be admired, as he had feared; not to be loved, as he had made himself believe; but to be necessary to people, to be indispensable." -F. Scott Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise

Devastated by this. She was such a vibrant presence. When I first saw her in Anna Christie, it was like the entire auditorium lit up with her radiance. So very, very sad to happen to a person this young who should have had so many years to share her genius with the world. My condolences to the family and may Natasha be happy amongst the angels of which she was one.

How terribly, terribly sad.

Vanessa will now have to go through her own year of magical thinking.

And we'll never get to hear that "Send in the Clowns."

Ed used the perfect word to describe her: radiant.

May she rest in peace, and may her family and friends find some.
