On January 25th Sherie Renee Scott will leave her Ursula role behind her in the Little Mermaid. I know she doesn't usually come out at the stage door but i was wondering if anyone thinks she would for her last night.(also i was talking to the security guard and he said that he has seen her come out only twice. my cousin said she doesn't like all the little kids, but i'm not sure if that's right at all). also if anyone else is going that night, let me know Updated On: 11/24/08 at 05:17 PM
she's listed her reason for not coming out as that she has a child at home she likes to get home too... so on her last night there I imagine her child will be there watching and there for she will not want to come out either
She had her child here in Denver with her I heard and I also heard he (I think she has a little boy) was under the weather so she wasn't doing the stage door. The guy who plays the Prince wasn't stagedooing either.
When I saw TLM she stagedoored and signed everything and posed for pictures. The only people who didn't stagedoor were Sierra and the guy who plays Prince Eric.
She came out the stagedoor when I saw the show last January, and came off very dry and sarcastic (similar to the broadway.com video she did giving the tour of her dressing room). Personally, I thought she was a riot, but I can see how people could see that as being a mega bitch.
I saw Cily Daniels as Ursula in June and loved her! I saw Sherie in July and it seemed as if she was sleep deprived.

Not to threadjack or anything, but that is a great picture of her Brody!

Just to mildly threadjack, I randomly found a clip of Sherie in a deleted scene from ps I love you. Thought it would make everybody here happy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UenMVhOXns
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.
I saw the show the day after the strike ended last year (so...like the fourth preview maybe?) and Sherie did stagedoor. Although she signed everyone's playbill, I asked her for a photo and she said no. But I don't care! I LOVE her! She has a kid. Let her get home to her family. At least she signed playbills.
"Somethin's comin', I don't know what it is but it is gonna be great!"
I saw the show during previews too and she did come out and sign. I agree, she has her kid at home, and she has every right to go home to him. It's cool just to see her perform live.
In all honesty, the part doesn't give the actor much opportunity for "love". I think it's horridly realized. And many actor's do what they need to in order to pay the bills.
Do you think anyone WANTS to do a hemmoroid commercial???
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I loved the clip and I have to say that Sherie is absolutely right. Who wants to take pictures when they are tired and arent photo-ready. Especially since people post these things all over the internet. The picture taking among fans has gotten out of control and I support any actor who declines.
I also think her comments about being relaxed through the show are true. She clearly doesnt love the part or its demographic of children and it shows. Hopefully her next part will be less special effects laden and focus on her glorious voice. :)
