"A Hymn To Him" as "Why Can't A Woman?" (MY FAIR LADY)
Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia
Well, it is arguably changed to this title in whatever new version gets released every 5 years, but "The God-Why-Don't-You-Love-Me Blues" is commonly referred to as "Buddy's Blues."
In the case of Legally Blonde, I'm pretty sure the song was called "Gay or European" in the workshops.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
I have never ONCE heard "Dance Ten Looks Three" being used with that title. And I don't think it should be used with that title. It sounds a lot better with that other name.
"How could she just suddenly, completely disappear into thin water?" - The Little Mermaid
I've never ONCE heard anyone call it "Dance Ten Looks Three". It's always "Ti*s and A*s". I guess it depends on who you hang out with.
Additionally I usually call "Those You've Known" from Spring Awakening "All That's Known" (reprise). I even put it on my mp3 player like that, initially by accident.
No Day But Today instead of Another Day (Finale B is often referred to by the same name as well)
"It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another." - Adam Pascal on the closing of RENT
Quote: "I've heard a lot of "525,600 minutes" instead of "Seasons of Love".
Mostly this song never is called by a name by non-theatre people. The just sing some random, incomprehensible number and then "Miiinutes." Generally off key.
Yeah "Who's That Woman?" is usually referred to as the Mirror number. I also read someone refer to "Fifty Percent" as "Fifty Percent of Him."
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
