Is Anyone else as dissapointed as I am?
My parents got me a front row seat, knowing how excited and thrilled I was about seeing her. And a few days later they cancel the event! This stinks!
Now all I see are cute boys with short haircuts in a maze of their own...

Any news on whether the cancellation was due to ticket sales or was Chita sick?
The show is coming here in June and, while I wasn't too excited about it originally, I hope the last show of the season isn't cancelled!

Sorry to hear it wasn't selling well (if that was the case).
I wish the Wilshire would just take a long break and COMPLETELY renovate.

I agree about the Wilshire Theater. Uncomfortable seats. It definitely needs a facelift.
Now that Wicked is playing (forever?) at the Pantages, I fear that the Broadway/LA shows will again be held at the Wilshire.

so they are gonna get a lot of business because the pantages only has wicked now...for years to come.
But yea. I wish I could see chita at OCPAC but I am doing a show doing her run there. I'm sorely disapointed, I have admired her for a long time.

Jersey Boys isn't in the season, but Broadway LA is otherwise screwed at finding a touring home.

Chita's show got a rave in the Los Angeles times. Drive to OCPAC. It is a much nicer theater anyway. The reason Chita did not sell well at the Wilshire is because it was added to the schedule very late. It wasn't even included in the season.
