Anyone see the tour of HAIRSPRAY lately? I'm going on Feb 9th and I can't wait since this will be my first time seeing the show. Any opinions? Does it stack up to the Broadway production? How is JP as Edna? Just wondering what people think. THANKS!!
Saw the show in Detroit- and although there have been some additions, I know most of them from Toronto and they are all amazing. The show is in great shape. Not a fan of J.P though, but if you are a Devine purest then you may enjoy him.
I am excited, I am seeing it February 25th, third row center!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Saw it 4 times in Boston at student rush prices, burned a hole in my pocket still, but it was worth it lol. Go see it! I liked JP and Caissie Levy was great as Penny!

The tour is one of the best I've seen... It's sooo fun and you leave the theatre feeling great! Also, Keala Settle is wonderful as Tracey. Hope she moves on to the Broadway production once there is an opening...
