SOUVENIR better crank up the advertising -- 35% won't cut it (we'll see if it was a mistake to move it to Broadway rather than going the commercial Off-Broadway route).
And expect a HUGE bounce next week for JERSEY BOYS (63.5% -- low partly because of all the opening week comps that get handed out).

WIW's looking fantastic despite the lack of publicity and the knowledge that the 'star' would not be in. (Not to mention it's only the second week of previews!)
About Sweeney Todd- do they count opening night attendence or is that a comped experience for most invitees? Just wanted to know if it affected the 70%
"[Joe Brooks] predicted that "In My Life" would be turning a weekly profit (320,000+) before the holidays were over, saying the show would be playing to audiences of "85 to 95 percent by Christmas.""
The opening week comps also brought down SWEENEY's gross and attendance numbers. They'll be much higher next week.

Ha! Sorry, but people don't listen to raido critics. I mean, I don't agree with everything that Ben Brantley says, nor do I always agree with Clive Barnes, but on something like In My Life...oh yeah.
