I remember when they spotlighted her on A Wedding Story, and her and her husband met while doing Beauty and the Beast. So cute!
And I hate the word "fired"... it makes it sound as if she did something wrong when really I think they just decided to take the show in another direction. Forgive for speculating, I didn't read the article yet.
This is sad! Damn, she was the best part of the show. I saw her as Roxie in Chicago twice. She is GREAT on stage. I hope now she can be on Broadway more often. She is a great stage actress.
WHAT??? Noooo! I'm sorry, I love trading spaces because of her, if she leaves its just going to head downhill. As long as they dont get rid of Joe Farrell though.

probably the best thing that can happen to her... she can go on to better things since the show has gone downhill.. don't hear about it like you did a year ago.
she was pretty good in chicago. it would be cool to see her back on stage
well i'm all for nate getting his own show... trading spaces is kinda dull and even though i thought paige was a bit too peppy, she did make it more watchable. without a host, i don't think it will have the same "tied together" feeling.
I heard this on some news show and they said it could be connected with "an Actors Equity benefit". We all know what it is. I wish Paige the best. I like her. It would be cool for her to return to Broadway because she has said she really loves it. We'll see.

Yes, her impromtu striptease at Broadway Bares might have something to do with it. Not to mention all the stories about her and her hubby over at Datalounge.
I doubt the striptease or anything else had to do with it or else it would've happened sooner. The show has been fading for the past two seasons and they've resorted to all sorts of new tactics to keep it fresh, but it is no longer the novelty it once was. I still watch it and enjoy it, though. I'm just sad that Paige won't be there any more. She's one person I would love to meet. I'm sure she'll do well in the future, especially under Oprah's influence. She quickly became America's next Sweetheart and rightly so.

I think TLC made a foolish decision in not renewing Paige's contract, but that is their prerogative. I predict that Paige will do just fine for herself going forward. She's a sharp cookie who has a winning personality. I'm sure she is grateful to Trading Spaces for letting her become a well-known 'name' across the U.S.
Paige was on Broadway long before she played Roxie. Actually, there were years (back when she was still billed as Mindy Paige Davis) when she was a Roxie understudy and the Weisslers would never let her go on because she wasn't "a name"

I was kind of surprised to hear that, but I'm sure she'll land on her feet. I stopped watching last year. The novelty of the show wore off, Vern left (my favorite), and I was getting so tired of Doug and Hildy.
