Miss Saigon: 4, WOW. This surprises even me, I thought I had only seen it 3 times... (once when I could not see a thing [so I had to go back], another when I went for a college course, once to take my mom and another when Lea Salonga came back just before the show closed)
The Lion King: 3 (once in previews, once to take mom years later, and another to take my oily bohunk just this past summer)
AIDA: 3 (once to see Adam Pascal but he was on vacation so I had to see it again a month later and then they announced that Adam and Simone were leaving so I saw it once more)
RENT: 2 (and I plan to see it at least one more time soon)
Urban Cowboy: 2 (once in previews and once before it closed)
Cabaret: soon to be 2 (I saw it with Neil Patrick Harris and Deborah Gibson after earlier scoffing that I would not go see a show with "Doogie and Debbie" and will see it again this Saturday to bring my mom and oily bohunk to see Adam Pascal in the Emcee's role)
me, living out here in the country, do what i can. i saw a local company do HAIR 5 times...once a week for a month, and then a special 11 closing night show! i know it doesnt hold a candle to...well, like i said, i do what i can! hehe
nycgirl: It's easy to see Rent 6 times. I paid a total of about (well, exactly) $255 for the total of that, which is not quite three full price seats and not really a momentous contribution to keeping the show running.
I've seen 6 different Rogers, and 4 of my times seeing the show were this year...I'll probably stay away until a new Roger comes in, so I can keep up the streak. Or until it announces closing, whatever.
'course, by then, several productions of Chess that I'm involved with will have gone up, and I'll have seen that show an uncountable number of times.
