Hey everyone! I’ll be in town in a few days and would love to hear some rush experiences people have been having. Particularly later in the afternoon, not right in the morning, although of course all comments are welcome!

What shows (now that Prima Facie is closed) are a hard ticket? Are there any that are easy? How’s BTTF looking?

I arrived at BTTF at noon when the box office opened on Sunday and was about 30th in line.  Only one single ticket available for over $100.

Thank you for posting this thread! I'd very much appreciate it if anyone was willing to share any recent updates on the Parade rush line.

I am wondering the same, specifically for Some Like It Hot and NYNY

This is from about a month ago so it may have changed since then, although considering the Tonys (for NYNY) I’m not sure.

NYNY I went to the box office around noon and they only had one rush ticket left. I ended up buying a $50 one to sit with a friend.

At SLIH I ran from KA rush to SLIH across the alley and they were already sold out of evening tickets, but had some matinee left. There were quite a few people in line before me although of course I’d been waiting at KA for a while so who knows how many there were originally.

Hello! Bumping this thread as I am headed to NYC & hoping for a great week of theater. I have some tickets purchased but my theater budget needs some help! I’m hoping to rush and/or lotto some additional shows. Could anyone help with recent line experience & seating for rush & lotto for these shows? - Goodnight Oscar, Parade, Kimberly Alimbo, SLIH, Shucked. Thank you so much for any advice!!!

I won the Shucked lotto but ended up seeing Peter Pan Goes Wrong, but it was my first time entering so odds may be good with that one.

I rushed Parade this past Sunday (2 show day). Got there about an hour and 20 minutes before their noon opening, was somewhere around 20-25th in line. Must have been a lot of pairs because I got to the window by 12:10. They had $45 and $99 seats available for both shows, and $79 seats still available for the evening. It was phrased to me as "$45 partial view, $99 full view, $79 full view front mezz". I took a $79 dollar seat and got B9 in the mezz, perfect view

Data points for other shows: got digital rush for The Cottage, received center mezz row B. Won the lottery for Once Upon a One More Time (Saturday mat) and got center orchestra row Q

I got a rush ticket to NYNY 10 minutes before showtime the day before the Tony’s. I can’t imagine it has gotten harder to get a ticket.

Rushed Grey House last Saturday about an hour before the 2pm matinee and got Orch B 6. Great seat if you’ve seen it already. I wouldn’t recommend as a first view though.

You can easily get a rush ticket to A Beautiful Noise the day of the show. $45 each. Available directly at the box office.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

This was my plan for Saturday but since I got to NYC at 12:45 I figured all the rush seats would be gone. How early did you get in line for Goodnight Oscar?

I went to the box office around 12:30pm on a Saturday and got a rush ticket to Good Night Oscar for that afternoon, no problem.

9:40 am.  Everyone in front of me asked for the 8 PM show....you will probably be fine, maybe do matinee?

Thank you all so very much for sharing your experiences AND giving advice on several other shows I am also interested in seeing. I’m really hoping for the same rush availability at Good Night Oscar. 😊

Coming to the end of my week and thought I’d share my rush/lotto experiences in case anyone is interested in these shows-

Kimberly Akimbo, first in line at 9:15 on a very rainy Sunday, next person arrived at 10, a few more during the next hour. By the time the BO opened about 20. I was offered $40, partial view box or upgrade $99 for full view right orch, D 6&8. I went with those. Great seats.

Parade, my rush parter was 8th in line at 9:15, by the time the BO opened line stretched down the block, was offered &40 partial view or $99 full view right orch F 6&8, went with those, great seats.

Good Night Oscar, first in line at 7:15 on Wednesday, next few people arrived at 8, by the time BO open about 30 in line. $25 for front row. Stage is high so you are looking up, but I found it to be a really great experience, especially for the price. Of note, I was told by the BO they have 10-12 front row rush each day.

Lost all the SLIH lottos.
Won for BTTF, my ticket is G24, looks very far side right orch, I’m hopeful it’s not too much of a partial view. Seeing this tonight.

And as a very pleasant surprise I won the Hamilton lotto before I left for NY. I loved it!

I just got back from my own trip and will updated as well! I ended up winning a lot more lottos than I thought and ended up not seeing most of them.

I saw Peter Pan Goes Wrong and Hadestown through the lotto, but I won for OUAOMT, Shucked, Camelot, and a few more that I didn't have much interest in seeing.

Other than that I saw The Cottage and Titanique through TodayTix rush, and SLIH by walking about about 2 hours before the performance and asking for rush tix.

Where were your lotto seats and how was the view for Hadestown?

I thinki have finally learned not to apply for lotteries iam not REALLY sure i want to see, because it reduces your chances for winning other ones.

Has anyone gotten rush tix for JUST FOR US on Today Tix?  They always seem to sell out immediately at 9:00am on the dot.  For anyone who's been able to get them -- where were your seats?

Where were your lotto seats and how was the view for Hadestown?"

I was in the second to last row of the orchestra over on the right side about two seats in. The view was pretty great, the theater is small so I could see facial expressions and everything which was awesome.

I was wondering if there are shows selling Rushtickets without really advertising them? For example A Beautiful Noise is selling in Person Rushtickets. But you cannot find anything about that on the Website (only about the lottery) and also on the Lottery/Rush List from playbill.com they only List the Lottery for Beautiful Noise. Somewhere I also read that Hadestown is doing Rush but Im not sure if that is true. Does anyone know about other Shows that sell Rush even tho it only says Lottery? That would be very good to know. Thank you :)
