Wild that this show had such a bumpy run on Broadway of opening and closing, wasn't a box office hit, or won many major awards, but has a pro-shot, national tour, and now film adaptation coming. I love the show so I'm not mad at it! Olivia Colman and Chloe Bailey are going to be fabulous.

Same. Great cast + the producers behind BANSHEES OF INISHERIN and THREE BILLBOARDS means it's almost guaranteed to actually happen. Wonder when production begins...
Hard to be mad about Mare Winningham not doing the film when they are giving us Olivia Colman!!!
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
Also hard to be mad about Mare when we’re (at some point) getting the proshot.
For a show like this that I would have given the Tony to and was easily one of the best things I’d seen in a very long time that simultaneously had a lot of people saying it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen, to be professionally preserved TWICE is pretty damn cool.

(I also just never understood the appeal of Olivia Colman. *ducks*)"
Watch the film Tyrannosaur from 2011 and you should get it. It was the first thing I saw her in, and was hooked. Amazing actress…and a hoot when interviewed.
