Hi everyone!

Question. I do not live in the US and I'm traveling specifically to see Merrily We Roll Along (I will be seeing other shows too, but that's the main one). If I don't get tickets, which seems likely given the demand, is there a way to buy resale tickets safely and legaly?

Thank you!

for this production it would be a bit difficult to resale as tickets must be picked up at the boxoffice with an ID (from the email I got from NYTW)  - if they don't check the ID, then should be easier to find resale

Absolutely. Because those aren't sold on a ticket website that helps you resell (Ticketmaster) you'll be looking at places like Stub Hub. The resell prices will probably be very substantial due to the cast and the limited run. People will very much want to sell them for a tasty profit. Good luck and be safe!

Damn. I in fact couldn't get tickets. Clicked at 12pm and was 900 something in line. Hopefully, I will find a way. Thank you!

Same. I'm looking for a single ticket from November 29th to December 4th.

Why are you asking for $350 when the face value is $298?

If what NYTW says is true, no one will have tickets until the day of the show. Then you must show photo ID for the person that purchased the tickets.

My understanding as long as they follow their own policy, getting resale tickets is nonexistant. Scalpers are screwed for this one.

Not to be confused with Dave19.

The people who got eight tickets can just sell them to their friends for a huge mark up I guess. Or, do it old school and stand outside the theater looking for ticket buyers? Yikes.

Yeah I would confirm NYTW is willing to switch order names before just sending people large amounts of money

Uh, if you are selling to your friends you can just give them the tickets the day of the show. No confirmation needed.

Totally. I feel like people will be really desperate for tickets and garbage people will take full advantage.

I am also in the "absolutely desperate to get a ticket" crowd. I love this musical so much, and the three leads are absolutely perfect casting for it. If anyone should have a single for Nov 21 - Nov 27 that they would be willing to sell, I would be most appreciative. Thanks.
