SAG-AFTRA Locked In Dispute With Actors’ Equity Over Taping Of Live Theater  Oct 13 2020, 05:48:15 PM

I'm really sick and tired of the pompous gatekeeping of what theater is right now on this board. We are in a Pandemic. I don't know why you all care so much to enforce rules and regulations. Theatre is going to be presented in new ways in order for it to survive. Just because we aren't in a packed house doesn't make it any less "theater like". Things are going to change and be bizarre, but instead of breaking it down and not calling it theatre, let's lift it up a

Ah. Always the classiest and kindest responses on this board.

The Wild Party: Lippa vs. LaChiusa  Aug 6 2020, 12:18:03 AM

I prefer LaChuisa's. I like Lippa's as well, and I do think that score is more accessible to listeners out of context (plus Julia Murney is fab). LaChuisa's score is so complex and can be not as enjoyable when you're not watching the show.

Broadway to return in Fall 2021?  Aug 5 2020, 06:39:14 PM

This topic is out of our control. What is in our control are streamable options. London has been absolutely killing the game with new streamable live theater. I'm sick and tired of everyone being like "equity this equity that". The Theater Leaders in New York have been handling this pathetically. Having audiences in seats isn't the only way to experience art. If you think it is, you're small-minded. How amazing would it be to have more accessible theater and also employi

I think that separation is impossible. The artist making the art inherently has those beliefs and the platform to spread them. If they have a platform and decide to have somewhat unprofessional conversations with castmates :

LaChiusa's Wild Party 20 Years Later  Apr 13 2020, 09:30:00 PM

20 Years ago today The Wild Party opened on Broadway. If anyone would like to share any stories or memories of the show while it was on Broadway I'd love to hear them. It's one of my favorites, and I'm sad it hasn't gotten another life in New York yet.

Six heading to Broadway  Nov 27 2019, 07:59:01 PM

The standbys actually weren't on that often in Chicago. Only when Adrianna left two weeks early, and a few other incidents here and there. Lots of the Queens got injured in Edmonton which led to a lot absences.

Is it flawed? Sure. All shows are flawed in one way or another, and it's funny to see people bat an eye at some shows and then go head first at criticizing others. It's great for what it is. They do an amazing job at intertwining Alanis' song's and for most audience members of that show... That's all they care about.

No discount code necessary. They have Orchestra seats for $69.

Also the amount of comps they throw out is insane.
