An all-winner season would be fun, but they would really have to up the stakes to entice some of the bigger names back. Bob the Drag Queen has said on her podcast with Monet that she wouldn’t do it unless the prize was at least a million. Which, frankly, is understandable. $100k is low for even a regular season these days, considering the expense it takes to simply get prepared for the show and the opportunities one would have to give up to film, and especially in comparison to other shows. Someone could go on Supermarket Sweep and walk away with nearly as much money for substantially less work and time.

I was just watching the preview.  How in the hell does Gottmik not know who Donna Summer and Diana Ross are?  But knows who Phyllis Diller is.  Cmon.

I don’t think it’s all that shocking that someone in their early 20s doesn’t know the Motown/disco lexicon, even if those are two of the most prominent figures. The sooner Ru let’s go of the notion that there’s some kind of Gay Manual™️ that every queen has been handed before appearing on the show, the better.

Well that was pathetic, and all too predictable.  After complaining about certain queens being too one-note, what does RuPaul do but send Kandi Muse, the most utterly One Note Monotone queen ever straight into the final four.  That last lipsync was an embarrassment -- usually such minimal competence results in a double elimination.  It can only have been the pocketful of glitter that gave Kandi the edge.  That and the secret dossier of material detailing RuPaul's sexual history with Donald Trump.

Really? I've seen a lot of embarrassing lip sync performances, but I didn't think that was one of them. Actually, I thought they both did well, but, clearly, Olivia's time was up.

Yeah I thought Kandi slayed it! I liked her referencing Olivia throughout. She felt grounded and connected.

I’d agree though that all of them - maybe minus Rose - have felt very one note in their acting challenges, so it comes down to who schtick do you like? I love Symone and I thought she delivered! She wasn’t crazy over the top like Rose but she delivered. I don’t really like the “kooky faces” thing that Rose does but clearly it’s working for her.

Olivia just feels off to me. The nice thing was over played and just wasn’t funny. And Gottmick doing another spacey valley girl thing, but it kind of worked. She was funny.

Kandi was Kandi. But I happen to like Kandi. I’d see a Kandi Muse show.

My least favorite of the ones left were Khandi, Rose and Olivia. Any of them could have gone last night and I'd be happy. Next week I'll be happiest if Rose is gone. I just don't understand the love for her. Her makeup is bad. Her lewks are boring and unflattering. And her personality shines more when she's out of drag than when she's in. And I can't believe Khandi even made it on the show to begin with. While I've come to appreciate her personality, her looks are as lame as can be.
So my top three would be Gottmik, Symone & someone from the pit crew in a Kaftan Honey Mahogany left behind.

For me right now, Symone and Rose are the only two that don’t make me want to hit the mute button whenever they open their mouth. I’m at the point where I just expect a Queen each season who is annoying and/or loud as hell and all around unlikable and have them make it to the final episode. For some reason, Ru love them. Kandi, Silky, Vanjie etc etc it’s what Ru enjoys.

I really don't see how Symone can lose this season, but who knows.

They haven't had a top 3 for a while (since... Season 9, I think?) since they started doing head to head lipsyncs in the finale. Last year was obviously was a deviation from that due to extenuating circumstances, but a top 4 was clearly intended. I doubt anybody will go after home next week's final performance episode, then there'll be a reunion or recap episode, and then the finale.

My phone rang last night at 7:58pm.  I asked myself do I answer or watch the show?  I took the phone call.  I was able to watch the last fifteen minutes (critiques and lipsync)  I felt I saw the entire show during those few minutes and didn't miss anything.  At this point, any of them could win.  I wouldn't pay to see any of them.

It's reopening in August.  Have tickets for the 26th.

Not that I'm aware of.  I would not be surprised if the original  cast were given first choice.  But then again, they could bring in new queens to give a reopening vibe.

Now with Symone, Rose, and Gottmik making it to the top 4 is correct in my mind; though I am a little surprised that Kandy made it. Ru definitely has a soft spot for the loud personality queens. But to me, Kandy is slightly better than Silky who I still think is the weakest of the top queens in the main show, at least Kandy knows how to sell a few good looks here and there.

Kandy won’t deter me from ever rewatching the season but Silky will forever deter me from watching her season again. I tried last year and made it about 30 minutes into the first episode and had to shut it off. The fact she’s possibly back for All-Stars, when she’s pretty much the most universally hated Queen ever just boggles my mind.

I mean, has there ever been a queen from previous seasons where they deter people from watching those said seasons again the same way Silky did? The only thing I remember of season 11 was that Untucked had Yvie vs Vanjie and that was highly entertaining.

I’d love to rewatch but it’s not available anywhere! Silky was a lot. But I think Kandi has shown layers. Maybe it’s years of living in Harlem, but I know that girl and I’m friends with that girl and get any she acts like that. I think she’s great. But it’s def Gotmik vs Symone.
