Completely agree. There's not enough buzz, but she was great.

Aaron was amazing too, of the shows that have come out so far Isaac and Aaron are my favorite contenders

Jesse Williams (in '''Take Me Out'' ) would be eligible in Featured Actor in a Play. At least that's where the Tonys put Daniel Sunjata, who originated that role of Darren Lemming. In the original 2003 production. Sunjata competed against his castmate, Denis O'Hare (as Mason Marzac), and O'Hare won the Tony.

I wonder what the Tonys will do with ''The Lehman Trilogy,'' which stars Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles. The Olivier Awards nominated them collectively for Best Actor. I doubt the Tonys will do that, though they set the terrible precedent of having 3 boys share Best Actor in a Musical for ''Billy Elliott.''

And don't forget Rupert Everett in ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?''

Take Me Out definitely has a lot of potential for acting nods. I'm also pulling for some from the Hangmen cast, though jury's still out if Dan Stevens can deliver that role with the same chilling edge that Johnny Flynn had off-Broadway. Mark Addy is also a pretty strong contender for Best Actor in a Play, though that field seems to be incredibly crowded. 

With The Inheritance not doing so well, I think that Slave Play, Hangmen or The Minutes could possibly run in there and snag Best Play. A strong season for plays, for sure.

@Wayman But the Tonys made a point to end that precedent after industry backlash to the Billy Elliot actors win. There is now an official Tony rule that forbids joint acting nominations. So again, the Lehman Trilogy actors will have to compete individually. Producers could petition otherwise I suppose, but they would be petitioning for the administration to scrap one of their rules, and I highly doubt they want to deal with the whole joint nomination thing again. If they weren't willing to do it for Erin Davie and Emily Padgett who were literally joined at the hip in Side Show, there is no way they would consider it for actors playing different roles. 

As for Take Me Out, I think there is a strong chance producers will ask for Jesse Williams to be in Lead. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Patrick J Adams, and even Michael Oberholtzer are all viable featured candidates. True, the original cast was deemed featured, but back then the Tonys did not change category placement from billing that much. The Drama Desks nominated Sunjata in their Lead category. Taking Williams out of Featured could mean more overall acting nominations for the production.

I also don't think Betrayal will fare as well as folks here seem to be predicting. The play has really never done well at the Tonys. Lead Actor is so stacked this year, that I don't think Cox and Hiddleston stand a chance, especially if voters are divided as to which one to support. I suppose there is wiggle room in Lead Actress for Zawe Ashton, but we have no idea yet how Debra Messing and Sarah Jessica Parker will be in their plays. And if nominators are really looking back at all the closed shows this season, Audra got better notices for Frankie and Johnny. And while I don't expect Grand Horizons to be a Best Play nominee, Jane Alexander has a great chance of making it in. She's fascinating in the role.

I honestly don't see Betrayal getting that much in terms of nominations, but I'd be thrilled to see Cox and Ashton nominated haha. Their performances (along with Hiddleston) were haunting, even months later. It was truly a great production overall. If the nominations were up to me, it'd be recognized haha.

I have a feeling Williams will be pushed for Leading Actor. I feel like there are so many possibilities for Featured Actor nominations in that cast that separating him in to Leading would make the most sense.

I think Betrayal still has a decent shot at snagging a Best Revival nomination, but I agree that the actors are likely to be forgotten. Which is a damn shame because IMHO, Cox and Hiddleston are both far more deserving of awards recognition than anyone in The Inheritance. Personally, I'd even pick them over the Lehman men, and Underwood, and Barford. 

Yet another reason why I think Hiddleston should have been put in the featured category.

I saw Richard Greenberg's ''Take Me Out'' Off-Broadway at the Public in 2002 and again after it moved to Broadway in 2003 and won the Tony for Best Play. I seem to recall that ''Take Me Out'' is told largely through Mason's eyes. As the gay baseball fan, he narrates a lot throughout, and he's got the juicier, wisecracking, crowdpleasing role. Darren's the ballplayer who comes out, but, no pun intended, basically plays the straight man.

If ''Take Me Out'' wants to petition for an actor to be Leading, it probably should be the other Jesse: Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who's a multi-Emmy nominee and a two-time Drama Desk winner. 

And it's true that the Drama Desk nominated Sunjata as Leading, but it's hardly the first time that group has disagreed with the Tonys on where to place a performer. By the way, the Wikipedia entry for ''Take Me Out'' says that Sunjata won the Drama Desk, but he did not. Eddie Izzard (''A Day in the Death of Joe Egg'' ) did.

Am I missing something? I though Danny Burstein was fine in Moulin Rouge, but it’s a crap role and it makes little impact in the show. If he does win, it will be to make up for never winning before.

Thats rough... I have to simply disagree. Saying its a crap role is simply untrue. I would say he's going to get a nomination probably not a win. He is fabulous in this role.

Who the hell is Gloria Manning?

Pity they won’t petition Daniel J. Watts up to Leading Actor (since there is precedent from the Oliviers with Kobna Holdbrook-Smith winning Best Actor). I’m not sure if they will even award this category given the lack of truly viable candidates. I also can’t see Stokes going in Leading Actress by default. (remembering how Sherie Rene Scott was shut out for WOTV in 2011 when there were only 5 eligible performances for the category).

I’d also strike Rojas from featured actor and throw in Robyn Hurder for featured actress. Though neither are really more than beefed ensemble roles, Hurder has more of a case to be made based on her choreography and stage time.

That would be Skye Dakota Turner you are thinking of. (Gloria Manning plays the younger version of her sister Aline). In either case, I doubt that she will net a nomination.

I thought her name was Skyler! I was reading off from the site and for some reason, they put her on the way bottom and I missed her. I saw the understudy and the little son, so I thought they forgot her. I also mixed up the Grandmother with Dr. Dawnn Lewis (the mother.)

I can definitely see Robyn Hurder getting in and Kristin Stokes getting shut out. I think Ricky had a bigger part than Robyn though. It would be so awful if they don't do Leading Actor. Poor Aaron was finally going to have his nomination. But, I can easily imagine them moving Daniel and Sean to Best Leading Actor.
