Thanks for all your work Miles2Go2!

Not the races I was expecting based on what I've heard but good reviews nonetheless. Still expecting The Ferryman to take the Tony

Mike, thanks! It was eerily quiet on here last night. I couldn’t believe I was only one posting on this thread. It’s interesting that the show received such polarizing reviews. Those who pretty much loved it and those who loathed it with very little in between.

Polarization seemed somewhat likely given the source material and the adapter.

It's nice to see you being able to post reviews again Miles2Go2. Looked like someone took over from you for awhile. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Reviews

Thanks. Not really took over. After all, anyone can post. It’s just that usually there are more people scrambling to post reviews on opening night. While I’m not a fan of some of the nastiness that has gone on here previously, I did miss some of those voices in this thread last night from posters who are not with us right now.

I marvel at critical disparities such as these:

"this 'Mockingbird' is proffered on an ambiguous, somewhat clinical stage setting...inimical to the creation of atmosphere or sense of place. Multiple set pieces and platforms move loudly and awkwardly on and off stage, impeding effective transitions, and making the pacing of the production oddly clumsy." (Elizabeth Bradley, Broadway News)

vs.

"Tony-nominated scenic designer Miriam Buether has built an ingenious, elegant set that moves seamlessly between the Finches’ home and the courtroom, and director Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, My Fair Lady) keeps the plot machinations moving at a smooth clip." (Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly)

Were they at the same show?

It was some of the loudest scenery changes I’ve ever heard — assumed it was intentional

Have they cut or edited the lines that were directly lifted from past Sorkin West Wing scripts? I found that really jarring when I saw it in previews, but haven’t seen it noted in any of the reviews.
