Crazy! It’s almost like producers keep hiring from the same small pool of people over and over!

What about repeat producers?

I attempted the Producers categories, and it's just too complex...with productions having a list of 25+ at times, and The Shubert Organization/Nederlanders being listed with approx. 50% of productions these days.

On the other had, if one is looking for job security in the industry, being a talented scenic/costume designer might be the way to go :)

neil, thanks for compiling this!  I found it really interesting that 3 of last year's acting winners for plays could win for plays again this year.

There have been rumblings that Norbert Leo Butz may take the lead in Beetlejuice. If so, he would be another.

We need more go-to people of color across the board. Glad to see George C. Wolfe and Clint Ramos working so much. Wouldn’t mind more female representation as well.

I agree. People are quick to blame the Tonys for being mostly white and/or male, but look what they have to work with! It's especially discouraging when you consider that the caliber of musical theatre these days is so low, so it's not even like they can use the old "we're just hiring the best people for the job" evasion.
