Can anyone tell me time they have been lining up lately for DEH SRO? I am planning to try for the Sat matinee and not sure what time I should get there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
When did this change? I understood that standing room was only sold through the lottery. Is this no longer the case? is standing room now sold by lottery in addition to box office?

AFAIK no one knows why but yes, standing room is sold at the box office when it opens. How much they have? Who knows, me and my boyfriend went on a Tuesday in May and tried to get 3 tickets (we were the only ones in line), and were told there was only 2. My friend went that weekend and got 6 for the Saturday matinee with some friends. It's probably not random, how many they have, but as far as i can tell, its unpredictable.
For the OP, I haven't tried it since the spring, but last month my friend arrived at like 9 and got tickets.
I got one on a Saturday sometime during the summer - I tried at the box office around 2pm and got a SRO ticket for that evening. I'm not sure if I was just really lucky or not!
When I rushed American Son on 12/29, there was a line of about 15 people outside the Music Box. I also had thought it was digital lottery only but I guess not.
I was curious and wanted to try for SRO tickets Saturday 1/19. I got there at around 9, and there were two people before me (one wanted 2 for evening and the other just wanted 1). I wanted 2 for matinee. We all managed to get SRO tickets for our shows, and I'm sure a few behind me got some as well!
Not about SRO, but didnt want to start new thread for one question. I see that DEH showed up again at TKTS today. Im hoping I can grab a ticket to see it for my one remaining slot when Im in town next month either via TKTS or Stubhub at last minute or digital lottery (yeah, right). In case, it is available at TKTS, can anyone tell me where seats have tended to me via TKTS? Id really like front orchestra for my second time seeing it. Thx.

I can't imagine they would be front orchestra seats, unless they are way on the side. The Music Box is such a small theatre that you are better off further back than in close side seats. I have found it very frustrating seeing most musicals from far side, close orchestra seats...I won't do it anymore, in fact. It is less of an issue for three cast dramas, but is for a musical...you lose the perspective that the director and choreographer have worked to establish.
I have only had one exception here. I was extreme side, third row, when I saw Hamilton the first time. My wife is officially in love with Miranda (Cinderella story of kid from the barrio not just making good, but making history), so being real close (about which we had no real choice if we wanted to see the original cast) in some ways added to the 'event'. Only when we saw the show a second time from center orchestra did we realize how much we had missed seeing such a side-view.
Please note my post was from January 2019 and I ended up buying a ticket beforehand from Telecharge. $193.75. RIGHT ORCHESTRA Row F, Seat 14 I had a good view.

That is too much. I am surprised that you had a good view, but great.
Did SRO for the show today, Wednesday 1/29/20. Arrive at 8:05 and was 4th in line. Next person arrived at 8:30. By 9 there were six people in line. At 9:30, 8 people in line. And about 20 when the box office opened. I got a ticket - SRO 101. Not sure who all behind me did.
