I saw this on Friday, my fourth time trying the in-person lottery. I absolutely loved it, what a special night. My favorite part was sitting in front of whole family who's mom/sister/aunt had a small speaking role. They were SO EXCITED and yelled "That's my mom!" at one point. That really drove home to me what the Public is all about.
I do think that this production works so well because it is made for the Public Theatre with a Public Theatre
I got Balcony row C so not the best seat but I really can't complain when it is FREE. I'm giving it to a friend who hasn't seen it yet though, as I've seen it three times.

Ahh congrats! I would have gone in person if I could have gotten out of work, haha. Debating going tonight, but I'd have to just have myself entering for one ticket since I can't find anyone else who can go tonight.
Do we think the standby lottery will be easier or harder to win tonight with this additional performance and the addition of the in-person lottery? Of course I'm entering the digital lottery, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Lost tonight. It was my first night trying so I can’t say whether the crowd was smaller due to the weather, but I’d say about a third or fourth of people got tickets. They pretty continuously drew tickets from 7:10 up until about 8:15. The show (or at least speeches) started at 8:10. It does suck to hear them read numbers after number that’s not yours, and it does get dark and hard to see your ticket. I’m planning o
I was always under the impression that the tickets for the in-person lottery would essentially be for no-shows. But now that I'm thinking about it, logistically this seems impossible unless they demand everyone with a ticket gets there at least 30 minutes early to guarantee their spot. Do we think these tickets will be unclaimed lottery spots or no-shows?
All my entries disappeared from TodayTix after being "pending" for a while, which is weird. I'm going to be optimistic and hope this means I'm being considered for the leftover spots haha.

Retweet. x100."
YES. I really want to see this and hope I get very lucky, but this isn't going to be Broadway quality. It's Public Theatre and is running for like a week.
I rushed this past Saturday. I got there at 8am, which was definitely too early as I wanted SRO if they only offered partial view seats. I was the third person. I got SRO 101 which was right next to a pillar, so my view would have been better if I had been later. Still a great view and deal for $30!
Someone this 80-90 year old woman who had a cane was in SRO. The ushers were a bit stumped on what to do since it was sold out so they had no seat to offer her. A very kind audience member

I imagine Saturdays are similar, if not slightly harder?"
Has anyone rushed in the last two weeks or so? I'm rushing on Saturday and want to make sure I get a SRO ticket (prefer matinee, but will take either) and want to know how early I will have to get up.
I understand the frustration around stunt casting, but what I see missing from a lot of these conversations is that they are likely stunt casting because they NEED to. I don't know what London Waitress's numbers are like, but I doubt they would be doing this type of casting if they were selling very well.
