I'm planning a trip to NYC mid May. Now that nominations are out, how do they usually affect early ticket sales and rush lines? Do they typically drive up sales before the awards are handed out? Looking in particular at Frozen and Mean Girls.
I recently was guilted into paying $199 tickets for DEH by a friend. I was a little apprehensive going into it, (especially considering I've already seen it for half the price!) but we were able to get seats towards the front of the theatre and it felt like a different show. If possible, I'd go and speak to the box office, because I feel like our tickets were definitely worth more than that, but he gave them to us anyways!
How busy is Broadway typically during St. Patrick's Day Weekend? I'm making a quick trip down to see some shows that weekend and want to prepare myself for busier rush lines, etc. if needed.
How busy does Broadway tend to get over St. Patrick's Day weekend? I'm planning on getting a quick visit in to see some shows and want to prepare if there will be larger rush crowds, etc.
I went this past Sunday (1/28). There were a good number of people there, but they had 20 lottery tickets at $49.50 and 40 "lotto loser" tickets at $59.50. I won a lottery ticket, so I didn't stick around much longer but I also heard that people that didn't even get lotto loser either got a discount or SRO. This is such a beautiful show, so highly recommend to anyone interested that they should try for it!

I was hoping for the same thing, but I just checked Telecharge and there were only premium seats left? Is that a glitch in my computer or did they actually manage to sell all these tickets?
Has anyone rushed this lately? How was it and where are the seats? Aiming to see this on 1/27 and StubHub seats are still a little pricey when I am getting in fairly and could probably rush.
Sad I missed this because 1/28 was when I was hoping on seeing this show... what's the chance that they will release more tickets (for OotI) for dates they already put tickets up for?
Is it posted anywhere if/when Lea Salonga is taking a vacation from the show? My dad is a huge Lea fan (Filipino and listened to her growing up and all) and wants to take a trip from Chicago to see her in OotI. I am hoping to avoid missing her if necessary. Thanks in advance for your help!
I am hoping to make a trip down to NYC the same weekend of BroadwayCon (1/27-1/28). I was hoping to have fairly good luck with rush lines during this time, but will there be more people in the lines and at shows because of BroadwayCon?
Also, I noticed that this trip would fall during Broadway Week. Would I be able to get the 2 for 1 tickets at the box office once I get there, or do I have to purchase the tickets ahead of time (with fees)?
Yes! Unfortunately I am not from the city, so buying tickets at the box office once I arrive in NYC is an option, but I am trying to find options to purchase tickets in advance.
Are there any websites you can use to avoid fees when buying tickets? Or is there any way to buy tickets from the box office and have them ship it to you or a will call?
I'm planning on making a trip to NYC Jan. 10-15 and hoping to see Once on this Island and The Band's Visit. Are rush/lottery lines typically smaller in the colder months, or should I be prepared to line up early as usual?
