I think a lot of it comes down to people's ingrained thoughts of basically racism. Producers see a show that is utterly fantastic and probably better then most shows on Broadway that is written by a black playwright or lyricist or composer. They are approached about transferring it, but for some reason in their mind they think "this won't work because it's a show for a black audience and Broadway is a mostly white audience." I've seen this happen in theaters tha

It looks like Linda Edmond, Jonathan Hadary, and Estelle Parsons will be leading Bright Room. I’d like it, but I’m typing on my phone. They are listed in small print on the production info page on the Public’s website. Thrilled to see Estelle Parsons again.

You can't compare that to Ferryman, an actual play that juggles over a dozen characters. Second, a show shouldn't win best play just because people agree with its political message, which is what would be going on here. I saw Octet on Friday and was just sitting in the lobby after. Sarandon came out and was extremely sweet to everyone before meeting some friends. I don’t know if she just came out to the lobby because her friends were there, but either way was incredibly sweet.
I mean I loved Head Over Heels as much as the next person. I saw it 3 times, but I'm not surprised by the lack of nominations. Yes, it was a show that welcomed the LGBTQIA+ community more to Broadway, but that doesn't mean it automatically is the best show of the season. If you were saying the show should be awarded a special Tony for excellence in opening the community and shinning a light on people that are normally not the leads of a musical, then I would completely agree. But the

They have some job openings and Im thinking about applying. Anyone have any experiences with them? Thanks!
I loved the surprise of dancer. I’m just surprised that it’s allowed for the dancer not to be named or credited. If anyone knows the equity rules. Kinda sucks for the dancer and yes I know they are getting paid. Just
I was there last night and sat towards the back and I didn't see anyone leave. Maybe a few people left to go to the bathroom and came back, but there weren't swells of people leaving. Unless that was everyone behind me or in the mezzanine, I don't really know what Matty is talking about. And it sounds like it's just their opinion rather than the end all be all. Matty didn't like it, but their report doesn't mean everyone else is wrong. Matty just seems to be applauding
