Chicago stop is cancelled. Supposedly plans are now to open direct on Broadway in 2020.
We'll see....

I'm sorry! I should have included the message direct from the release...

"CHICAGO (February 14, 2019) –The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage announced today that the new musical Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough will now have its world premiere on Broadway, when it opens in Summer of 2020, foregoing it’s pre-Broadway engagement in Chicago.

"Its previously announced premiere in Chicago has been unfortunately cancelled due to scheduling difficulties brought about by the recent Actors Equity strike.  The new musical will feature a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize® winner Lynn Nottage and a score made up of some of the best-loved, top-selling songs in recording history. Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon will direct and choreograph.

"The producers also announced that the musical’s First National Tour will premiere in Chicago.

'"While we’re disappointed by this necessary change, we are thrilled the producers have chosen Chicago as the launch for the First National Tour,' said Eileen LaCario, Vice President of Broadway In Chicago."

has it been mentioned where ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE is opening/launching their tour from?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I just got an email saying Philadelphia will announce their season on March 18th with a special subscriber event planned for that day.

Hi, does anyone know the exact dates that Band’s Visit and Girl from the North Country will be playing in Toronto? The Mirvish website only says September to October and September to November, respectively but I am hoping I will be able to see both in one visit if the dates coincide.

As I will be travelling from overseas I would only be trying to purchase single tickets rather than a subscription so if anyone has any idea when they go on sale then that would also be helpful.

Thanks.

Still nothing for Providence? I feel they usually announce around this time. I may be wrong though.

Word on the street is March 18th. Waaaaay later than usual for Straz, but per a Facebook comment it sounds like they were waiting until the end of the Hamilton run. Don't know why, other than probably just not wanting to mix marketing messages.

Also probably because the office is swamped with ticket swaps and requests with totally full houses for Hamilton, and they don't have the resources to start taking season ticket orders and seating requests.

Oklahoma City 2019/2020 Season:

Hello, Dolly!
Spongebob Squarepants
Miss Saigon
Come From Away
Anastasia
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

with add-on:

Fiddler on the Roof

There also a previous email saying that Frozen would be part of the 2020/2021 Season and that 2029/2020 subscribers would get first dibs.

I wouldnít mind revisiting Dolly and Spongebob again. I might like to finally experience Miss Saigon, too. The rest Iím kinda meh about. After seeing the current spectacular Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, I canít imagine the tour carrying a torch to it.

I never subscribe because I donít want to see shows I donít want to see plus I travel a lot for work.

I was at Mathew Bourne's Cinderella at the Ahmanson over the weekend and asked at the subscription desk when they were announcing.  They said in 3 weeks.  Take it for what it's worth, but someone nearby said the boxoffice had told them the same. I guess that makes it Mid-March.

I’m dying to hear this announcement as well. Last year it was the first week in March. Hopefully they’ll give us a date soon.

Does anyone know when SHN in San Francisco usually announces? (Never subscribed to the full season before, but I typically attend a bunch of shows)

Chicago already knows dear Evan Hansen will be returning next season, though Iím guessing it wonít be part of the subscription package.

A rep at the SHN told me that they plan on making an announcement date this week. The plan is to announce either the last week of March or first week of April. They're still finalizing all of the details. Their season will have 5 shows and two have already been revealed (The Band's Visit and Mean Girls).

Five shows?  Past (and current) seasons have had seven. I know that the Orpheum is booked with Hamilton, but that's quite a drop.

Me too. Especially since I'll be moving there and plan to decide between Boston and Providence for a subscription. I'm thinking Providence will get Dolly, DEH, and Cone From Away. Which pretty much sells me. Exciting!

The Book of Mormon tour is coming to Mexico City Nov 20 - Dec 8, 2019. This is very exciting! Hope this means we'll soon become a regular tour stop.

(Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they were part of the first full Monterrey season)

The Durham Performing Arts Center hasn't announced their 2019-20 season yet, though they did just announce that the national tour of Aladdin will be coming from October 2nd-26th.

True! And tickets are going on sale on March 7th, which leads me to believe they will have announced the rest of their season by then.

-On another note, Birmingham, AL is announcing their season shortly and it'll include OOTI (Dec 13-15), Les Mis (Jan 7-12), Waitress (Mar 20-22), and Bandstand (Apr 24-26).
