Seems like DEH is adding a Sunday evening performance on 12/10 and giving away all the tickets!

I'm crossing my fingers that I get this because I am in town that week. Good luck, everybody!

This is such a neat idea. I entered tho I doubt I'll win a seat but this is seriously such a great way to give back to fans.

So many people will be entering that even if we do win, our seats will be pretty bad as the tickets are released. It's a nice concept but the odds are really low, so I have zero hope to win, but if I do I'll scream for hours. how much are tickets to this performance?

The tickets are free. $0

Seriously? Then I better win because I won't even need a Christmas gift if I end up with a free performance! I thought it'd be like the $40 lottery!

It's a way for the producers and cast to say Thank you to its fans, hence why it's free. It'll be interesting to see if it's assigned seating or general admission seating (I'd imagine people will sleepover at the Music Box the night before just to get that center orch seat!)

Here's an article back in 2011 when Book of Mormon did it for its fans.

Back then, the BOM fan performance lottery was based on roughly 35 days of entries so the winners tend to be the show's biggest fans.

Per the lottery website: "Seats may be located in the orchestra, mezzanine or boxes of the theater and may have a partial view of the stage. Your place in line has no impact on your seat assignment, as ticket locations are selected at random. Arriving early to Dear Evan Hansen Fan Day does not guarantee better seats."

"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott

Yeah seriously. GA would be a nightmare, and I’m sure they knew that going in

Yeah, I was at the second BoM fan day and they had a Disneyland-like maze of barricades outside the O'Neill for everyone who lined up. We got there around 8 a.m. and ended up with second-row seats, but I'm sure it was a huge pain for them.

I'm losing hope I'll be chosen, so if anybody has an extra single I'd love to attend! DM me if you're available. I'll pay if necessary.

Does anyone know if they've notified winners yet? A few friends also entered and none of us have heard a thing.

Many winners have been notified (I got an email on 11/6) and the original communication on the lottery website (which appears to be taken down now?) said that notifications would take place between the 6th and 17th. So if you don't hear by today, that's it. I am not sure if they would send "sorry, you didn't win" emails to everyone, but if they are doing that, they may wait for today after the final winner notifications have gone out.

If someone is unable to use their ticket... I'll gladly take it off your hands for $10. PM me if you're interested.

Although I guess I would need to get it transferred to my name... I wonder if that's allowed.

It's not.

"I claimed my tickets to Dear Evan Hansen Fan Day but can no longer attend. Can someone attend in my place?

Tickets are non-transferrable. The name of the person who picks up their Dear Evan Hansen Fan Day tickets from the box office on the evening of the performance must match the name that was used when entering the Dear Evan Hansen Fan Day lottery."

I got an email today saying I did not win tickets. (I appreciate the fact that they emailed the lottery losers to let us know.)

Reviving this because I wanna know how it was.

How was the stage door? The performance? Were there a lot of empty seats? Etc
