Mean Girls is Heathers with less death and Bring It On is Heathers with more cheerleading.

All joking aside, this cast surprised me, but I can't pinpoint why. Ashley Park was hilarious in Sunday in the Park with George...and it'll be interesting to see what Barrett is up to after the replacement debacle in her last show.

Anyone have any insight on discount code or a way to get reasonably priced tickets? Had a thought that I would take the train to DC, see the show, and come back the same day but the ticket prices seem outrageous!

There is a ticket lottery before each show. I did it for the Fun Home tour and I believe there were 20 tickets available and then I can't remember how many lottery loser tickets there were. I ended up getting the lottery loser tickets. They were $35 dollars, orchestra row L seat 111. You also get to choose your seats from what they have available. It's a pretty good option if you can go on an off day.

I was just looking at the shows Wikipedia(I know it can be false) and it said the show isn't looking to transfer until 2019. Is there any reason to believe this?

I believe that was the original intention, but Ellie Kemper's pregnancy pushed back shooting Season 3 of "Kimmy Schmidt" so Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond had more time to devote to it, and finished sooner than expected. 

It's a fairly safe bet that it will be on Broadway this spring.

^ agree. Cannot wait for Park's Gretchen. God this gonna so good (or just meh or just bad, who even knows). Who's going to the first previews? Looking forward to hearing the reports.

This is one of those shows I'm going to blindly throw money at for tickets. So excited and can't wait for a Broadway transfer to be officially announced.

I'm seeing it in November towards the end of the DC run. I think this has good possibilities. Nicholaw has rushed a couple of things to Broadway of late IMHO, so I hope they put in any necessary work and revisions between DC and B'way.

Like Something Rotten? I thought it was a strong show, I doubt they'd have changed much of anything with that one. Are you thinking of other shows?

Most specifically Tuck Everlasting, but I think Something Rotten! could have definitely tightened up some (especially in Act 2) with the planned Seattle run that was cancelled.

The Plastics look really nice! I'm just not sure about one thing though; they look like they're in Legally Blonde and Kinky Boots more than Mean Girls. I don't know but the plain pink dress is not completely working for me.

Musical Karen looks too much like movie Regina. They should switch roles or this will be confusing.

It might just be that he's excited about the show, but Jordan Roth commented "YES!!!!" on Kate, Taylor, and Ashley's Instagrams of the first Plastics picture. Could this be playing the August Wilson? Or the Hirschfeld? Or the Kerr?

Not that this show needs it, but I would hope it booked a primo spot that's more visible like the Kerr. Jujamcyn wouldn't surprise considering the relationship with Nicholaw.

They better book Madison Square Garden. That's the only way that this cast is going to read as juniors in high school.

Because Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, and Rachel McAdams looked like high school juniors in the film....? Not to mention Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Franzese.

Did a lot of people show up to the lottery for the lottery when you when? And the "lottery loser tickets", they were available for those who didn't win? I'm thinking of doing this on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, hopefully to watch this show. Thanks for the info!

I saw the film when I was in high school and believed them as high school aged. I was actually surprised that they were in their mid to late twenties when I found out a few years later. The young women in the musical do look like they've been held back a few years. Maybe costuming and make up will help. I thought Adrienne Warren and Louderman looked age appropriate in Bring it On so I'm curious to see how they look in production.

Tina Fey talks a lot about the high quality of the music - has there been any songs from the show done in concert or released at all? It feels strange to have no sample of the music at this point.

This is such a high profile project that we probably won’t hear anything at all until the DC run starts.
