Really, really, really hoping Heléne Yorke will continue on as Emily. As far as I'm concerned, that was the most inspired casting from reading, and it would be such a shame if she couldn't continue on. I smell big Tony love for that role - and specifically her performance, if she continues on.

That's maybe even the biggest reason why he's miscast. Gideon is cute as hell, don't get me wrong, but he's not a conventional choice for a typical leading man - which is what's so special about Seymour. Seymour is written for the fat, nerdy, balding, big featured, big voiced men who can give a leading performance but never get th

How exactly is she "so overdue"?? She's been in 5 Broadway shows -- and 2 of those were as a replacement!"
Every time she’s been on a Broadway stage she’s given an untouchable performance. The talk of the tow

I know this is unlikely, but I need to post about it SOMEWHERE: Natalie Walker is my dream Boleyn. Her “Don’t Lose Ur Head” would be iconic.
Loving the praise for Ali Stroker - have always thought she was an insanely funny and gifted comic actress. I hope she's recognized come Tony time. She makes a meal out of a snack with this role.
Marian is an odd fit for Sutton Foster, and yet I can somehow completely believe that rumor. I remember recently listening to a podcast where she was the guest, and she said that every appearance on the stage should feel like a completely new direction for her (I.E. - Reno Sweeney to Violet Karl to Charity Hope Valentine) - Marian seems to fit into that quite well. And might I also add that Foster had more nay-sayers than supporters when she wan announced to be taking on Reno Sweeney. If anyo

Jessica Vosk played Anita in a whole ass San Francisco Symphony production for which she received a Grammy nomination. Maybe take, like, a single second to research what you're talking about before just wanting to be right.

Why am I not seeing the same reaction Sierra Boggess got? I guess when it’s an actress you like, it’s fine..? I don’t know, y’all. I gave up my regional theatre debut because they asked us to do redface. Obviously not the same thing, really, but my integrity isn’t for sale.
Also, she wasn’t just given this job. Do you people know how the business works at all? Jessica Vosk wasn’t called up out of the blue for this. She auditioned for the production in 2014, and because of that glaring m
I've been doing some research, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the biopic's main plot point will focus on the abuse Holliday withstood from producer Darryl F. Zanuck. The film is entitled “Smart Blonde,” a reference to Holliday’s IQ of 172. Willy Holtzman (the screenwriter) previously wrote a play about Holliday, also called “S
