Can anyone explain why the top ticket price for HAMILTON is listed as $275 on this chart, when that clearly is very far from the truth? (And I'm speaking of the prices listed on the HAMILTON website, not a 2nd party seller.)
I went to two shows this past week---Spring Awakening and Fun Home--nice to see how that I was part of the "up for the week by attendance" (sarcasm font on)
Jokes aside, I really do think Pope-pocalypse had a big impact on some of these shows. As much as I love Hand to God, their stats right now really are pretty abysmal.

I know I personally didn't want to be near midtown on Thursday and Friday.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
I was at Hand to God last night and was able to move from the mezz down to 4th row orchestra at the theater's request. It was very empty, but the audience was still very responsive to it. I absolutely loved it and I find it a shame that it's closing.

I'm assuming their decline in gross was due to opening week—press and guest comps and all that jazz. Their attendance is steadily going up, which is what I believe is most revealing at this time for their run.
I've been saying these past weeks that we don't really know whether Matilda is at the end of its run, since its summer grosses were so good. But now it's looking really bleak for them. It's such a shame because it's one of my favorite shows. If they don't experience a "Miracle" in the coming months, I think this might end up being a January closer
Wicked is still grossing way over a million. I don't think there's any cause for concern.
I do wonder about Matilda and Jersey Boys though. Sure, they'll do well in the next coming months with the holidays approaching but their grosses are low.

massofmen. Just checked, and yes, you're right, (EDIT to clarify) Matilda's September last year was similar (though it never got quite this low). Fair enough, I stand corrected.
But my goodness, that was a serious overreaction on your part. Did you really need to be that nasty about it? I'm not even mad or upset, just taken aback that you would feel the need to be so vicious in your response. I'm almost laughing to myself at how much of a stereotypical internet ass-hole you felt like being. I hope you're nicer to people who make mistakes in real life. Monday got you down?
EDIT: I see you deleted your response. Good for you. I hope your day improves!
massofmen's post is now blank, so I don't know what they said, but "though it never got quite this low", as I said that is just not true.
If you look at the link I provided there are several weeks in its run when Wicked has been lower than its gross for this week, for example, 5/3/15, 2/1/15 and 2/8/15.
