As the season starts to take shape, I'm curious what people either know (or suspect) about what theaters could be available for a new show this Fall that hasn't already been announced.
Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems like a lot of shows are on the bubble right now--from new shows still struggling to prove a big enough draw to stay open long term (After Midnight, Rocky, Bullets) to shows that have had strong runs but might be winding down (Once, Cinderella, Mamma Mia).
While I'm not one to root for shows to close in general, I do have that selfish desire to just see new productions. So...what are we thinking might open up?
As War Horse has just wrapped up its US Tour and then going out to Japan for a month, I would of thought this would be perfect for a limited run in the Marquis this Christmas.
Also, what's going into the Beaumont after Act One? I'm surprised that hasn't been announced yet.
Is The King & I slated for a fall opening?
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

King and I is Spring i believe. If Kelli O'Hara is starring, it must be spring because she is doing an opera in the winter.

The King & I is spring. Lincoln Center hasn't announced their season yet, so we don't know what their fall show is in the Beaumont yet. They announced mid-June last year, so it could be coming any day.
