I, too, am disappointed about Noises Off. Sure, Twentieth Century sounds like fun, but I was really looking forward to finally seeing a production of Noises Off, especially with Andrea Martin in it. I just hope she is still attached to it after this rescheduling.

Sometimes, a star seems almost too well suited for a role, to the point where I feel I can almost envision his or her performance. I hope to be proven wrong; I hope she can manage to surprise me with her performance.

I hope she's well-directed, because I definitely agree that she's almost too well-suited for the part.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Burnett would have been an interesting Primrose 15 years ago perhaps - although she hasn't played "daffy" in a long time. She's 81 now, and I would imagine way too frail to participate 100% in a show this physical.
Martin could act it certainly, but she can only sing in a rather small and low range; any trace of the comic-opera nature of Primrose's music would be lost.
Bringing Judy Kaye back as Primrose would have sentimental value, and she could sing it in the key written.

I agree, she has an average singing voice. Plus, she's starring in Noises Off so I don't think it will happen, especially if they extend this.
