Hmmm? Intriguing. Is there any news about who's taking on the roles of "Velma" and "Roxie"? from RC in Austin, Texas Brooke Directs Chicago
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
How was she when she played the role on Broadway? All I remember about her singing was one time she sang in a Bob Hope Special. I wasn't impressed by her efforts at the time. from RC in Austin, Texas

It'd be great if they could get some A-listers to be involved, like Kate Hudson for Velma and Anne Hathaway for Roxie, of course it'll probably be more like Luba Mason and Melora Hardin with Richard Kind as Amos and Smokey Robinson for Billy.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I just hope they use the Fosse choreography. I wasn't too thrilled about the choreography in the Chicago film. from RC in Austin, Texas

It's funny because it's true!
I'd be on board (a plane) with Hudson and Hathaway as Velma/Roxie.
I'd also like to throw out Matthew Morrison for Billy & Ed Helms as Amos.
I think the casting will include some Selena Gomez type of names. They need to try to put butts in the 18,000 seats. They tried with Nick Jonas and they were not successful . Attendance for Producers last year was sad.
I'm sure Hardin was a great Roxie, I thought she had great comedic timing in THE OFFICE (she's featured in some of the best episodes of the series) and she has a great voice but my point is I'd be so excited to see CHICAGO with some stars. There are so many great roles in the show and there are so many stars who'd be great in them, I love the idea of Ed Helms as Amos, Hugh Laurie or Kevin Spacey would be my top choices for Billy. Anyway, I'd be curious to see what Shield comes up with, it'd be nice to see a different take on the show.
