I want to see Chicago so bad! I had bought tickets but got appendicitis the day before... I had watched the movie what seemed like millions of times and was so excited to see it! Oh well, maybe another time!

Angel is now with The Cher Show. Kudos to her! There's been some ensemble replacements recently. Playbill Vault has the updated cast list.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The football player Eddie George is going to join the tour for the Dallas stop, (he played Billy on Broadway back in 2016), according to an advertisement I saw on YouTube. I don't know if he is joining the cast just for Dallas or if he is staying on.
Dallas always seems to get a weird stunt cast when Chicago comes to town. Back in 2006 or 07 Lisa Rhinna joined the cast for that stop only before heading to Broadway.

John O Hurley is on after Cuba Gooding Jr....for a very short time. After that, who knows? It's time to bring back Ryan Silverman or Tony Yazbek as Billy Flynn.

I just saw the show for the first time tonight with this tour cast, who were excellent. I wasn't sure how strong the tour of a 22-year-old production would be, but the cast seemed fresh and energized, especially Terra MacLeod and Peter Lockyer. They had such powerful, beautiful voices.

Rob Bowman joins the Broadway company of "Chicago" as musical director. He arrived on Nov. 19, 2018, according to Playbill Vault.

This is some interesting news. J. London is undergoing rehearsals to be an understudy for the role of Amos Hart. He is currently the standby/understudy for Mary Sunshine. Wow!

My daughter is headed to New York City next weekend (Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday weekend) and wants to see Chicago on Sunday or Monday night, probably the latter. At this stage, this doesn't seem like the sort of show that requires too much advance planning. Any suggestions for getting good, cheap tickets without spending too much time waiting in lines?

I have seen several Roxies in the years since I first began seeing "Chicago": Dylis Croman, Bianca Marroquin and Tracy Shayne. (I've only seen 3 Roxies in 7 years?) Anyway, I remember seeing Amy Spanger in a 2013..2014 video in Times Square. That could have been the last time she was Roxie. She is awfully talented. I would love the chance to see her as Roxie on Broadway.

curious who's replacing AFW after 1/27? I believe AFW is leaving to do the show in South Africa in March-May. So hopefully she's gone for a while.

I'm guessing it will be Lana Gordon. Or maybe Leigh Zimmerman.

Terra C is with the current Cellblock Tour until sometime in March. She would then be available for a Broadway run.

As far as the ensemble is concerned, there have been quite a few changes within the past year or so. You have Jessica Ernest playing a fantastic Go-To-Hell-Kitty and is also one of the Roxie understudies. There is Dan Gutierrez (who has played mainly in the touring company and is a swing). Drew Nellessen is an ensemble cast member who has played with the tour. Beth Johnson Nicely is another talented player. Rachel Schur is another of the Roxie understudies. Naomi C. Walley is an ensemble member, but is also a Velma Kelly / Matron Mama Morton understudy. I must admit that there is a very small group of ladies who have an opportunity to play Velma Kelly. One person has gone on as Velma the longest, within the past 8-9 years. Every once in a while, the show brings in a celebrity Roxie, but for a very limited time. I remember seeing Brandy perform as Roxie very well. Celebrity Billy Flynns are sought after because of their name value, appeal and talent. There hasn't been a celebrity Velma Kelly in a very long time. It is a difficult role that has all sorts of requirements. My dream celebrity choice to play Velma Kelly (or Roxie Hart) would be Katharine McPhee.

In an update on principal casting, AFW has extended until July 14, 2019. So, she's been in the show contiuously since August 2018.

Wow, I ran across this little bit of interesting news. I recently followed Jessica Lee Goldyn on Instagram. She recently posted a six show extension of the current run of "Chicago" at the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Jessica plays "Roxie Hart". She is joined by fellow former "A Chorus Line" castmate Heather Parcells (Velma Kelly). https://thefulton.org/chicago-cast/
