I am probably the only person in the UK to STILL be nursing a massive crush on Duncan James. Ahem. Love his huskiness when he sings! I too cannot wait for this... getting more and more excited! Still weird seeing the London cast after watching the MTV version too many times, though...
Her accent's pretty good. A little heavy on the R's, but much better than the ones I heard in the last West End show I saw. (The Lion King. Only one or two actors actually pulled off the American accent, and some just spoke in their natural British accents.)
At times she looked like Lauren Zakrin. The whole cast is HOTT!! This show must be a babe magnet because every company I have seen has hott cast members. Is that really Vivienne with the long black hair in the dark gray suit? I think that look makes her look sexy as opposed to the bob she had on Broadway and on Tour
It is a hot cast Alex as Emmet is sexy, i just watched him in WWRY National tour for 3 months and he ooozes sex appeal. Duncan James as warner is also fit
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
I'm prepared to totally be bashed, again. But, I still feel she looks a tad too old, more like a professor rather than a student. Not that she looks old in general, but as far as the role goes...
Very fun video, though.
EDIT: I re-watched the video, in some clips she looks the part but for some other parts, and all the pictures I feel she looks too old.

Probably to try and recreate the Timon and Pumbaa voices with which audiences have grown accustomed.
Exactly. It's just like how Mrs. Potts would always fake a British accent in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, even though that's supposed to take place in France. People are familiar with the character from the movie, and expect the accent. I'm sure some of the actresses sounded strange to visiting theatergoers from the UK, because the accent wasn't real. I COMPLETELY agree that Sheridan looks too old to be Elle in this video, but after rewatching it several times, i really think that it is more the wig. The cut and color doesn't compliment her face or the character. If they went with more of a cut and colr that Bailey had, she would look MUCH younger and better! The red tones in Becky's wig might work, but I'd have to see it first. But Bailey's color and cut would look less harsh and soften up her face to make her appear younger. I liked her voice and energy.... the guys are DREAMY!
I LOVED that! I'm not a Legally Blonde fan, but that video was so much fun. Sheridan Smith has a great voice, too. She does look a little bit old, but I think a lot of that is the shape of her eyebrows, and from the audience, it won't be that noticeable.
I really think Emmett is cute, too. I loved his dorky dancing! Everyone looks great. Kyle's kinda unattractive, though, in my opinion. ^_^
In my pants, she has burst like the music of angels, the light of the sun! --Marius Pantsmercy
LOL give the man a chance, he is obviously very blonde and rather naturally pale. Against a pure white background with a cap covering up his hair he's not going to look his best.
Why am I the only one that thought this was horrible? Ugh.
Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, RENT, Mamma Mia!, Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, Evita (with Julia Murney), Hairspray (with Paul Vogt), Peter and the Starcatchers (with Christian Borle), Lion King, Altar Boyz, Legally Blonde (with Lauren Zackrin).
I like Sheridan's personality but her voice leaves a LOT to be desired. She doesn't seem to have much vibrato or ability to sustain notes (that last one was one long straight tone).
Oh, well. I'll be interested to see how it's received in the UK.
She's a fun to watch performer but she's not a great singer. I saw her as Audrey in Little Shop and she was really not up it vocally. Elle is a much more demanding role. We'll just have to see.
