The British Players will present The Wizard of Oz, a British pantomime at the Kensington, MD, Town Hall from December 3-January 8. Pantomime, a British holiday tradition that dates back centuries, invites families to enjoy a unique fractured fairy tale or popular childrens story set to music, featuring many outrageously funny surprises. For this years presentation, authors Emma Houldershaw and Samantha Cartwright have taken L. Frank Baums classic tale The Wizard of Oz and created a production that is true to the original, but is fresh, lively and lots of fun! Children of all ages wont want to miss Dorothy, Toto, their gang of travelers, Munchkins and witches while they romp through the land over the rainbow. Director Nicola Hoag and her cast and crew promise a fun and visually splendid production.
