Children's Playhouse of MD Holds Auditions on 3/24 for Female Actresses for BIG RIVER

Children's Playhouse of MD is looking for African American or People of Color ages 18 or under (still in school) to perform in our May production of 'Big River'. Must be a strong singer - the characters sing solos in the show.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 17th season with Eric Overmyer's 'On the Verge or The Geography of Yearning.' Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'

Olney Theatre Center's acclaimed production of Bus Stop has been extended to March 21. Noted director/actor/writer Austin Pendleton has directed "a glowing production" of Bus Stop, according to The Washington Post. The Gazette says Olney's staging of the play is "worth checking out."
