Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre Hosts 'Royal Wedding Princess Breakfast' June 12-13

Some of the most anticipated events at the Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre are part of its family breakfast series that all began with the wildly popular Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus). From that holiday breakfast came the yearly Princess Breakfasts where guests are transported to a world full of magic, fairytale characters, and, of course, princes and princesses. This year's Princess Breakfast will be "The Royal Wedding" on Saturday, June 12th and Sunday, June 13th.

Everyman Theatre's Baltimore will close the 09/10 season with the premiere of Blackbird, Examines the Boundaries of Love, May 12 through June 13. Blackbird, a haunting, powerful drama that has left London and New York audiences breathless. Theatre Hopkins will open its final production of the season, the Maryland premiere of the musical comedy, 'The Glorious Ones' on Friday, June 11, at the Swirnow Theater in the Mattin Center on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. The score and book are by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who received the Tony Award for their musical 'Ragtime.' The production is directed and choreographed by Todd Pearthree.

This rock musical, performed by Teaching Young Actors, DLC's Teen Professional Company, follows Evan Goldman, a nice Jewish boy from NYC's upper eastside who is forced to move to Indiana with his mother after his parents get a divorce.

Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) announces that The Mark Ryder Original Choreography Grant Program deadline for applications has been extended to June 11, 2010. The program was established at the bequest of his family, in honor of Mr. Ryder's life's work, to recognize individual creative expression and to provide financial assistance to choreographers to create new original work.
