Corkscrew Theater Festival opens its third annual summer festival with the world premiere of Elyse Pitock's Preexisting Conditions. Directed by Alexis Wilcock and running July 11-28, Preexisting Conditions follows a young woman with chronic illnesses who signs up for a matchmaking startup that pairs singles in need of healthcare with finance and tech industry professionals.

Who doesn't love a little summer romance? Act II Playhouse presents the romantic comedy Kalamazoo, by Michelle Kholos Brooks and Kelly Younger, on stage July 9-Aug. 4 in Ambler.

As Spring 2019 draws to a close, the Belgrade Theatre Coventry is looking forward to an action-packed new season, with a series of new shows now on sale for Autumn/Winter 2018-19.

 The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) and Sharp Women, LLC present Overture the Musical, a new story celebrating the extraordinary grass-roots efforts to save the Kansas City Philharmonic, with music and lyrics by Krista Eyler, book by Krista Eyler and Barbara Nichols. 

 The Hill Country Community Theatre is announcing the cast for 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.' Based on the popular 1988 film starring Steve Martin; the musical version follows the same hilarious storyline but adds a delightfully jazzy Tony Award nominated score by David Yazbek. 'Scoundrels' was nominated for a staggering eleven Tony Awards in all after it opened on Broadway in 2005. The show makes its Cottonwood Shores debut July 18.

Last evening, the Apollo Theater celebrated its 14th Annual Spring Gala, raising over $2 million for its year-round artistic and community programming initiatives.

Today, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts announced two performances in the 2019-2020 Kauffman Center Presents series.

Steve Woolf's legacy at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis will live on, thanks to a successful $1 million endowment campaign. The funds will support programming in The Rep's Emerson Studio Theatre, ensuring that the theatre will continue to produce cutting-edge work in its intimate, black box-style space. The Studio season will go by a new name: the Steve Woolf Studio Series.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director | Jim Bredeson, Managing Director) today announced the cast for the next REVELATION READING, Ben Jonson's THE ALCHEMIST, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and directed by Jesse Berger: Duane Boutte, Steven Boyer, Stephen DeRosa, Christopher Fitzgerald, John Glover, Tracie Lane, Teresa Avia Lim, Euan Morton, Noah Robbins, Steve Rosen, Spiff Wiegand, and more. Riverbank Theatre presents Moonlight and Magnolias, written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Brittany Everitt Smith. Moonlight and Magnolias will open on Friday, June 14th at The Snug Theatre located at 160 S. Water Street in downtown Marine City.

United Talent Agency (UTA), one of the world's leading talent and entertainment companies, today announced the appointment of Arthur Lewis as Creative Director of UTA Fine Arts and UTA Artist Space. In overseeing these two UTA programs, Lewis will help guide the careers of artists represented in UTA's Fine Arts group and oversee exhibitions, programming, and partnerships with the LA and national art communities through UTA Artist Space in Beverly Hills.
