Amber Riley has been cast as the emcee for ABC's upcoming live musical, The Little Mermaid Live!, according to Deadline.

Disney Junior's 'The Rocketeer,' a new comedic, animated adventure series featuring a young girl named Kit Secord, who takes to the skies to protect her community after becoming the surprise recipient of a rocket-pack that gives her the ability to fly, will premiere FRIDAY, NOV. 8, on Disney Channel (11:00 a.m. EDT), Disney Junior (5:00 p.m. EDT) and DisneyNOW. Inspired by Dave Stevens' beloved superhero comic books and Walt Disney Pictures feature film, the series stars Kitana Turnbull ('A Series of Unfortunate Events') as Kit, and Billy Campbell and Kathy Najimy as her parents, Dave and Sareena Secord. Campbell is best-known for starring as Cliff Secord in 'The Rocketeer' film.

HBO and World of Wonder released a video that features Jessica Chastain, RuPaul, Andy Cohen, Whoopi Goldberg, Monica Lewinsky, Lizzo, Cyndi Lauper, Wayne Brady, Regina Spektor, Charo, Big Freedia, and Courtney Love narrating the famous “The New Colossus” poem that sits at the base of the Statue of Liberty. 

CMT today revealed its star-studded lineup of performers and presenters for the “2019 CMT Artists of the Year” special, airing LIVE from Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday, October 16 at 8pm ET/PT on CMT. The Boston International Kids Film Festival (BIKFF)  is back with more than 80 films -- both professionally and student-made -- ALL for kids. This year's selections feature a number of award-winning films including a documentary about Syrian and Iraqi refugees experiencing summer camp for the first time, a call to action from a group of school children in Brooklyn trying to eliminate microplastics polluting our environment, and a look back at the Merrimack Valley Gas Explosion and how families and small businesses are still trying to recover. The festival will take place at the Capitol Theatre in Arlington, the Somerville Theatre, and Lesley University College of Art and Design on November 15th - 17th. Bridge Nine Records will release the Blu-ray edition of THE GODFATHERS OF HARDCORE, the critically-acclaimed, Ian McFarland-directed documentary, on November 15. The film is available digitally here.
