The Paley Center for Media will present A Salute to Black Achievements in Television Presented by Citi from February 1-March 1. This monthlong celebration will include an interactive exhibit focusing on comedy, spotlight BET Network's 40th anniversary, as well as family activities, education classes, and screenings featuring some of the most influential names in entertainment. Five-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day unleash their latest single, “Oh Yeah!' from their new album, Father Of All… available February 7th on Reprise/Warner Records. “Oh Yeah!” follows #1 rock single and title track “Father Of All…,” which they recently performed live on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve to kick off the new year. Green Day will also perform at the 2020 NHL® All-Star Game in St. Louis in primetime on Saturday, Jan. 25 on NBC in the U.S. and on CBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT.

The Apollo Theater announced today that it will screen the iconic MGM film Shaft (1971), as part of the Apollo Film series, on Saturday February 29th at 8:00 p.m. The screening will be accompanied by a live performance of Isaac Hayes' Academy Award® nominated score by Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber, a sprawling band of musicians led by founder and cultural critic Greg Tate.

AMC Networks' Acorn TV has acquired exclusive North American rights to new four-part British drama Deadwater Fell from Endemol Shine International. Acorn TV General Manager Matthew Graham announced the news today at the winter Television Critics Association tour. Produced by Kudos and filmed in picturesque Scotland, the darkly gripping drama's stellar ensemble cast features David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who, Good Omens), Cush Jumbo (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Vera), Matthew McNulty (Versailles, Cleaning Up, The Terror) and Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose, The Crown, Utopia). The miniseries is created and written by Daisy Coulam (Grantchester, Humans) and directed by Lynsey Miller (The Boy with the Topknot, Eve). The Channel 4 series will make its US Premiere as an Acorn TV Original in April 2020.
